Could you enable native call recording in future releases as I imagine call recording is important for some people using these phones as a daily driver. I am aware other regions have this enabled by default, so is there a reason why it isn't enabled in the UK?

Update the calling screen with a new UI e.g. put a full screen profile photo when someone's calling. Make it look nicer

The existing caller screen is way too outdated and especially with the caller image not even being displayed on the entire screen this is too old. Way too old. We could use call recorder option as well.

Hi all, So recently I saw a few videos and documentaires about millennials massively going back to dumbphones. Though I believe that many love this social media and smartphone detox once in awhile. A smartphone is an essential device in our ever growing digital world. Though I was thinking about it more and more and well it would be super nice to introduce a dumbphone mode on One UI. For example only allowing the user to use text messenger apps like SMS, MMS, WhatsApp, Messenger, Signal, ... and calling with either those apps or your normal phonecalls. All other use of apps is prohibited to prevent you from endless scrolling on IG, TikTok, Browser, etc. Or watching tons of YouTube etc. The reason for a dumbphone mode instead of a dumbphone boils down to few things, texting with good haptics and full keyboard is king. A decent slab of screen estate is a joy to use. Especially if the mode could give some minimalist vibes and well for longer messages or conversations via text. You can still take pictures and video. + You might save some battery (though I think a real dumbphone should trump this, unless real good optimalisation but that could be at cost of photography since that often requires CPU power). Anyways I see some if not a lot potential in such a mode. Even if it's just a 'vacation' mode or whatever. Like generally I think a lot of people would use it and it could be a niche feature of Samsung phones. The trend of the dumbphones is very common amongst younger people and studies have found that the majority of people are between 25 and 35. This means millennials who have known both worlds really like to disconnect from time to time. Though it's not uncommon for teenagers at the moment to also just want a dumbphone. Giving them the option to opt in and out whenever they want would be really nice I believe. Not sure what you guys think about this? Of course a smartphone remains a smartphone and should grow on that part. But things like the Kids mode on tablets is already super popular on One UI. You can expand on this even more. Like you could use the strength of Android and it's customisation here by allowing people to define 'their own' dumbphone/vacation/detox mode by choosing which apps to block out etc. With block out I mean, even if internet is on, it will not update, not bother you, not refresh and get notifications in, heck it won't even work in background, like zero resources to it and you can't even open it when you want to. Unless you go into the settings of the mode to 'unblock' that certain app. This is a feature that I would very much like to see. Of course people could answer by saying 'just limit yourself' but honestly such a mode can help you a lot with it. And a great deal of studies have been done already on the positive impacts of detoxing once in awhile or like living with a dumbphone entirely. Though I think many are like flex. Going full vegi or vegan is also a step too far for many, even though they want to.. well you could be a flexitarian. Let me know what you think and as always, have a good day or night.

Hello, I've have this idea of when you're phone's battery drains, The Phone can have a side button '' Emergency Battery '' so if you are stuck in the woods and you're phone dies and you need help you could press the emergency battery and after time it could charge itself, but charging that extra battery has to be charged with a charger, Think it as 110% but that 10% is stored away, I Think personally it would make a game changer and would make Samsung more popular among Other Phone Brand Users. I'm no engineer myself but if any eggheads over at Samsung think there's a chance of making it, you are gonna wreck you're enemies. - From Ahmed M.

Hi samsung, it would be awesome if you could give us a new update or Ui to reject phone calls when double tapping the power button similar to iPhone to avoid anonymous calls!.. Another thing if you can quick call a missed call straight from your notifications

This isn't a suggestion at all but I just wanted to show my appreciation for the incredible suggestions that everyone has submitted so far! It's amazing that every year Samsung gives the opportunity to make suggestions directly to the teams that create the software that we all love and use everyday. Every suggestion both big and small will help Samsung improve One Ui for us all. Great job everyone! 👏

EMERGENCY CONTACTS should be able to reach the phone owner, no matter what. When my phone is on vibrate, silent, or Do Not Disturb, I want my EMERGENCY contacts, which includes any alternative numbers from which I may call my phone when lost, to bypass the privacy feature in the method/s I so choose. If I want certain or especially EMERGENCY contacts' texts to pop up and/or my phone to vibrate, and/or my phone to ring at the loudest volume when on silent, vibrate, or do not disturb, I should have the option of this LIFESAVING feature. It could also help during immediate theft. This very day, I lived through the LIFE ENDANGERMENT need for this feature. I had my phone on vibrate in my pocket, and did not feel nor hear it after half a dozen texts, and over half a dozen calls in the same hour. One of us could have died! Sincerely and respectfully, Concerned J7 user

The Google Clock app allows media streaming services to be used for an Alarm, this is a great feature that allows me to set a playlist so I get a different alarm each day and not be restricted to what music I have on my phone. Would it be possible to have this built into Samsung's own app.. Also I know this one is a bit more difficult but allowing a song to be set from Spotify etc.. as a ringtone. The reason I ask for this is because I don't pay to download songs anymore with paying for Spotify.

Hi, I have a suggestion for when making calls. It may seem similar to other suggestions but is different. So my suggestion is to add an option where instead of the whole screen displaying who your ringing rather do a similar job to receiving calls. When receiving calls the whole screen doesnt display when you are using the phone. I am making this suggestion because when I was driving and made a call via bluetooth from my car, the maps disappeared under the calling screen and whilst driving you shouldn't be using your phone as it very dangerous. Hence the reason for this minor but effective change. Hope you can understand this. Mr.TechNotion

Hello, I have a S21 Ultra, I have a suggestion for next software update. When a user plugs in charger to a switched off mobile, after the battery reaches to 10% can the phone be turned on and synced to receive emails and/or calls/missed call notifications? I think this is very crucial for any phone, just like iPhone turns on after certain charge time. I also found that, nothing inside the phone gets synced unless I type in the password. Could this be fixed? #samsungs21ultra #oneUI 3 Regards, Adithya.

Allow us to personalize the vibration intensities in both Sound mode and Vibration mode. I personally find it an annoyance to have the phone vibrate with every notification while in Sound mode, but if I disable it, it will also not vibrate in Vibration mode. It would be helpful to costum this feature for each mode.

This has been posted before, but I'd really like to use Spotify songs as my ringtone. This is already possible for alarms. Please implement it on ringtones as well.

In the general phone app we have keypad, recent calls, contacts options available. In addition if we could have new feature called " reminder " in order to remind the user to call particular person at a specific date and time, it would be much convenient for the phone users. In day to day we all ways face instances which we need to call our colleagues future date and time. If we could have this feature pops up a notification when the date and time due. Using the same notification having the option to call would helpful. #Call #contact

Hi guys, I was making a call this morning. So I just quickly dialled the number and minimised the dial pad to check a few messages. The notification bar on the top turned green as soon as i minimised the dialer, but I couldn't realise if the call has been connected or not. So had to frequently keep checking by placing the phone in my ear or enabling the speaker which I didn't want to do. So just a small suggestion but may be a very useful one for everyone. Before the call connects if the dial screen is minimised while the call is connecting, can we have some other color for the notification bar (or a green block running from left to right while it is dialling?) and make it turn green if and only if the call connects successfully. @TomaszT. Hope you can pass it to the team. Thanks in advance.

We have already seen multiple requests to get a new UI for the caller screen. In addition to that I just noticed two things today. 1. My phone was locked and placed on my desk, I received a call wanted to unlock and check a few things before I lifted the call. To my surprise I couldn't minimise the caller screen while the phone was ringing. I had to lift the call, place them on hold and then minimise the caller screen to unlock the phone. Super Surprised to see that this is not doable. Or is there any settings to get this done? FYI: Have my gesture navigations turned on without hints. 2. When I open the dial pad to note down someone's number while in another call, I do not have an option to delete the numbers entered if I mistype anything. I was so annoyed again that I mistyped one today and couldn't delete it. @TomaszT. Hope the guys sort it out.

I'm not 100% on how fully intergrated the Hiya system is on Samsungs or how much control you have, but as far as spam control goes, over here in the UK it's pretty poor. Lots of false flags or nothing at all It would be good if we could submit suggestions to the Hiya database from our devices natively. Unsure if this is possible now the fact that Hiya has gone from a free to premium service (limited for free). Services like TrueCaller or SyncME seem to have a much better hit rate for numbers in the UK, but not being intergrated you have to put up with overlays etc.😭 As it's a US company I feel it's probably much better across the water.
