As we all know, with previous Samsung devices there was a dedicated LED for notifications. For the S10 family and Note, Samsung have tried to solve this issue with a similar approach to lighting the pixels around the cameras to show of any notifications. First of all, this is a great implementation but it not the same as the notifications LED because the pixels light up for a few seconds ar best whereas previously the LED would display a colour constantly until the notifications were read or cleared. My suggestion is can you please implement the same functionality as the notifications LED of the past as at times this small duration of pixels lighting up isn't enough and often people tend to forget they have recieved a notification. Thanks for replying to my previous posts and for taking out time to read this and others in the future. MrTechNotion

Please bring back the coloured notification icons on the ways on display. It made it much quicker at a glance to see what app the notification was from.

GoodLock is an incredible app with some fantastic features but I dont understand why some of the basic features arent made native options within One Ui. Example: Option to hide icons and info in the notification bar like wifi, battery, signal and clock. As always, the more options the better!

Besides having the current time, day and date on lock screen and always-on display, having the date of alternate calendar will be very useful to those who set up alternate calendar: This alternate calendar date can be seen easily without waking the phone or go into calendar app.

To make all Samsung devices even better and more of a productive smartphone I believe with new ONE UI Samsung should add off screen gestures that is on OnePlus devices. Such as drawing a V when the screen is off will turn on the flashlight etc etc. This would be a much loved feature and I believe it would make one UI amazing! As I moved from OnePlus and miss this feature

I think it would be a good idea to use face unlock only to reveal notifications content on the lock screen and not to unlock the device itself - I'd still like to use the more secure fingerprint recognition for that. For the notifications, I'd like them to be semi-secure so that mainly only I can see what they say, but if the face unlock were to get fooled then it's not the end of the world.

Due to the relative low security of the face unlock system compared to the fingerprint scanner, a feature could be implemented where your notifications are hidden until it recognises your face, but does not unlock your device until the fingerprint scanner is used. This takes advantage of the facial scanning software already within the UI, and also insuring security for your notifications and your personal files.

This isn't a suggestion at all but I just wanted to show my appreciation for the incredible suggestions that everyone has submitted so far! It's amazing that every year Samsung gives the opportunity to make suggestions directly to the teams that create the software that we all love and use everyday. Every suggestion both big and small will help Samsung improve One Ui for us all. Great job everyone! 👏

I suppose you know the iOS feature that you can hide sensitive content from your notifications on lock screen and when you unlock the phone with your finger or your face, notifications are detailed. I really love that feature and i thought it wasn't available in any android devices but yesterday i saw that is available in Xiaomi's MIUI (work's with face unlock only, for obvious reasons). It's really annoying to have to unlock my phone every time i receive a message to see it (if my notifications are hidden on ls) or to everyone can see my notifications content (if they aren't hidden on ls).

It would be nice to be able to set the lock screen to last longer before going dark. I have a 15 second video that plays as my lockscreen however it automatically goes off to black screen lock after about 4-5 seconds. Quite pointless having the ability to have a nice animated lock screen if you can only see it for a couple of seconds.

I had a medical issue last night, which left me incapacitated. If it had happened away from home, I have no idea what would have happened. Started thinking - just about everyone always has their phone with them at all times How about a tab on your initial security page logon that had an accessible but user optional page accessed by a "MEDICAL EMERGENCY INFO" tab where you could enter medical history, prescription being taken and emergency contacts numbers that would be available for any emergency medical help you might require.

When you give your phone for repair they ask for you PIN, and they can get to sensitive data. If there was a way to allow them to open the phone but without full access, maybe a temporary PIN or mode that doesn't give full access that would be awesome.

On the Z Fold 3, when the phone is locked and the screen is off, opening the phone up shows the lock screen on the main display. Even if the phone is set to the lowest brightness setting, the lock screen will always be much brighter, almost full brightness. Once it's unlocked, the screen dims back down to the brightness it was set to. This seems like an odd behavior, and can at times be almost blinding. The lock screen should just match whatever brightness the phone is set to.

I think I've written it before somewhere but it's still an important drawback. Last night my cousins used my fingerprint to unlock my phone while I was asleep. Solution to this problem is very simple and I think my previous phone had it too. Just add a lock button on the bottom of the lockscreen which disables all the biometric sensors until the phone is unlocked by the password manually. By this I could sleep in peace knowing that no-one will be using my phone while I'm unconscious.

There are a few inconsistencies when your phone is horizontal, on of them is the Alarm screen. It niggles me when my phone is horizontal in my car and the alarm will go off but it's stuck in portrait. It's no great hindrance but it does let the flow of the system down. Can this be addressed at all?

The music controls Android 10 added in the notification, where you have a slider to select where to play from should be added to the lockscreen music controls and the "Media" section on the notification pull down. It just feels like a wasted opportunity at the moment. Clicking into music controls on the lockscreen only shows album artwork and the standard play, previous and next track controls you already get on the lockscreen. Media section on notifications just doesn't feel worthwhile Also, please make the music controls more reachable top left on the lockscreen is horrible, should be placed lower
