Just a suggestion 😁😁😁 But all who contribute over the years to to Beta Programs should be gifted a free Galaxy Watch.. After all, we basically help shape the future builds, fault find and submit reports.😁😀 (I'm just bitter I missed out on the recent promo)

Hi all, So recently I saw a few videos and documentaires about millennials massively going back to dumbphones. Though I believe that many love this social media and smartphone detox once in awhile. A smartphone is an essential device in our ever growing digital world. Though I was thinking about it more and more and well it would be super nice to introduce a dumbphone mode on One UI. For example only allowing the user to use text messenger apps like SMS, MMS, WhatsApp, Messenger, Signal, ... and calling with either those apps or your normal phonecalls. All other use of apps is prohibited to prevent you from endless scrolling on IG, TikTok, Browser, etc. Or watching tons of YouTube etc. The reason for a dumbphone mode instead of a dumbphone boils down to few things, texting with good haptics and full keyboard is king. A decent slab of screen estate is a joy to use. Especially if the mode could give some minimalist vibes and well for longer messages or conversations via text. You can still take pictures and video. + You might save some battery (though I think a real dumbphone should trump this, unless real good optimalisation but that could be at cost of photography since that often requires CPU power). Anyways I see some if not a lot potential in such a mode. Even if it's just a 'vacation' mode or whatever. Like generally I think a lot of people would use it and it could be a niche feature of Samsung phones. The trend of the dumbphones is very common amongst younger people and studies have found that the majority of people are between 25 and 35. This means millennials who have known both worlds really like to disconnect from time to time. Though it's not uncommon for teenagers at the moment to also just want a dumbphone. Giving them the option to opt in and out whenever they want would be really nice I believe. Not sure what you guys think about this? Of course a smartphone remains a smartphone and should grow on that part. But things like the Kids mode on tablets is already super popular on One UI. You can expand on this even more. Like you could use the strength of Android and it's customisation here by allowing people to define 'their own' dumbphone/vacation/detox mode by choosing which apps to block out etc. With block out I mean, even if internet is on, it will not update, not bother you, not refresh and get notifications in, heck it won't even work in background, like zero resources to it and you can't even open it when you want to. Unless you go into the settings of the mode to 'unblock' that certain app. This is a feature that I would very much like to see. Of course people could answer by saying 'just limit yourself' but honestly such a mode can help you a lot with it. And a great deal of studies have been done already on the positive impacts of detoxing once in awhile or like living with a dumbphone entirely. Though I think many are like flex. Going full vegi or vegan is also a step too far for many, even though they want to.. well you could be a flexitarian. Let me know what you think and as always, have a good day or night.

This isn't a suggestion at all but I just wanted to show my appreciation for the incredible suggestions that everyone has submitted so far! It's amazing that every year Samsung gives the opportunity to make suggestions directly to the teams that create the software that we all love and use everyday. Every suggestion both big and small will help Samsung improve One Ui for us all. Great job everyone! 👏

Introduce a Smart Alarm feature. It definitely works in waking you up at better time according to your sleep cycle. A little research into this topic will be a very big plus to the Digital Wellbeing app. The idea can be inspired from the Sleep Cycle app. Thanks

This feature of having 85% limit charging is amazing but if people can customise to what they like And as well as that having a minimum amount of charge so there's 5% as it can protect the battery when going to low

It would be nice to have a free built in antivirus like google chromebook has. I know this might be costing to the company but just thought it be a good idea

Not sure if it's possible but a CTRL + F type of feature that allows you to search web pages, social medias, other documents etc. For certain key words. I think it's already implemented over text just thought it'd be a cool addition.

Hello,
When using the screen time goal function in Digital Wellbeing, having the possibility to exclude app from the timer would be great.
Like when I'm using Waze for driving; I'm not really using my phone but it still using the screen time left for the day.

I currently have two phones, personal and work (S10+ and S22 Ultra). I would love the ability to use my watch for both phones. I would like to be able to connect my watch connect to Two phones. Primary phone (1) would have full functionality as it is today. Secondary (2) phone would allow Phone calls, Voice Mail, Text Messages, and Emails; no connection to other apps like Samsung Health to avoid conflicting data. This would improve UX and users would be able to safely use both phones while on-the-go.

Why don't you make a feature in smart watches or any other devices which will detect pulse or heart rate and if the person is in danger according to pulse or heart rate then their will be an emergency system activated which will make calls automatically to the emergency contact for help with a recorded voice of the person for help which the person would have already provided to the device and the live location will be also given to that emergency contact.

Hey, so about two years ago an android update (I don't remember which exactly) changed how the level of sound is distributed on the sound bar when it's connected to any bluetooth speaker. Previously it was an even distribution - the sound changed by the same amount of decibels at each level. After the update, it stayed evenly distributed between all levels but one - the maximum level of sound that is safe for hearing (white bluetooth sign) and the minimum level of sound that can damage your ears in the long term (red bluetooth sign) (images for context below). Sound level distributed evenly across all safe for hearing sound levels. Becomes two or three times louder or quiter between the safe for hearing sound levels maximum threshold (white) and unsafe for hearing sound minimum threshold (red) This made listening to music on bluetooth speakers very annoying and difficult, because a lot of times the optimum level of sound that I want to hear is between those thresholds, so to achieve it I needed to disable the absolute volume for bluetooth devices in developer settings and tune the sound separately on the smartphone and bluetooth headphones or speakers. Also, because of the absolute volume was disabled, I can't track my headphone audio level in the digital wellbeing app. I've encountered this on two samsung galaxy notes (model 8 and 20 ultra) in the last two years, so I'm not really sure if the problem is in every android phone or just samsung, but I still wanted to report it to both sides just to be sure. I'm not sure though if it was purposefully designed that way, or if it's a long overlooked bug, or a mildly malicious sabotage that was made by some fired android or galaxy designer out of spite, but please, revert it to the way it was before. I am an avid music lover and this is the only issue with the smartphone that has been bugging me for the last two years and making my life just slightly harder everytime I try to change the sound while listening on bluetooth headphones or speakers.

I havea idea about new feature in digital wellbeing. You can add new feature in digital wellbeing named as "Block App Launch ". In this feature user can set availability of App. Eg. We have Gallery in our phone . Select Gallery and set time on it like, I want Gallery open only between 12:01 pm to 3:00pm. Now because of it we only use Gallery between these 3 hours. If the time run out. We can not able to Launch Gallery like that app that we selected. This help people to out of it's addiction. Thank you

Give back the headphone jack. I did not get a Samsung just to have you follow the same path apple took. Getting rid of the jack does not improve the design or quality. Please give it back. People can use Bluetooth if they want, but at least let us keep the option of wired headphones.

I have been using Samsung watch 3 series and even the series 4 right now. the only problem I had with the 4 series is that is does not support functionality for series 4 . I understand it's made in correspondence to Samsung and Google. But I just wanted to suggest for the upcoming series 5 if you'll include the basic functionality of Bluetooth for apple supported phones say at least like to receive calls, notifications, and messages from apple phone on the Samsung Series 5 watch. i not saying all features but at least if ull could innovate a way in which ull can make it possible for basic Bluetooth functionality for apple phones . I also liked the idea that Samsung introduced 2 variants of 4 series, the classical and regular one ( watch 2 type) Please continue this series always.

I am an avid user of Samsung phones. I currently have the S21 Ultra and love the phone. But year after year things come out on a new phone, only to have it gone on the next iteration. The items below to me would make the perfect phone that everyone would buy I believe. Make everything just like the S21 Ultra with the below suggestions. 1. Keep S21 ultra brightness. This is great. 2. S21 cameras are great, but better camera system like pixel 6 pro. 3. Bring back the IR blaster infrared remote control system like in S6 model. 4. Bring back the Earphone jack. 5. FM radio - turn on the FM radio chip, not tied to a carrier turning on the chip. This is very useful in emergency situations. 6. Better speakers and sound system. Make a top firing speaker in the top of the phone just like the bottom firing speaker, instead of using the ear piece. Add a sub-woofer. More bass and umpff at low and loud volumes. This suggestion (#6) alone would make me very happy. 7. Wider phone like the note series. 8. Finger print reader on back of phone like S9 model. Currently need 2 hands to use finger print reader. 9. Make phone rugged - don't need to get a case. 10. Bring back the notification light. 11. Flat screen - no curve on edge. 12. All phones unlocked. Should be up to user who they connect to. 13. Solar charging. Phone charges in any light when not plugged into regular charger. This would be great in a survival situation. 14. Quit the smaller bezel *****. Do a smaller screen with bigger bezels to fit in above stuff. A thicker phone would not be bad either. They are too thin now. Thanks much.
