anyone got experiernce of similar issue? UE49NU7100 tv has dark shadow on left side of screen. About 3 yrs old so would expect its not under warranty but also not sure how to check.
Have completed recommended checks i.e. surge protection, and comfirmed its not just source issue. Its a little disappointing and not the first time have had issues with screen on samsung tv - will be staying away in future

When this happened to me, I researched extensively. The fix sounds quite cheap and not that technical. It's a strip of LED back lights that have gone. Unfortunately Samsung has let us down with this product and the aftersales service. Assessments are expensive. 95% LED tvs become uneconomical to repair unless DIY.
From this day, if the specs and price are similar I buy Skyworth now. Not unhappy!

Same bloody issue and no damage done. This is my second 75in from Samsung in 3 years. Oh lord. Also got a clicking sound coming from the stand by light. Did you ever get sorted with yours. What happened to the tv’s that lasted 10 plus years 🤦🏼♀️😰

That’s exactly how mine started out and it’s now just completely black screen. I too have the clicking sound. Samsung really needs to rectify this. Too many have experienced the same or similar which leads me to think it’s definitely a manufacturers defect. I’m hoping for a lawsuit of sorts. I plan to reach out to Samsung this week.

Awww it’s unbelievable isn’t it. Omg. My heart. No joke😩. Second one like. I couldn’t believe it switching it on here and the clicking scared the life out of me. Definitely be seeing a solicitor myself after this. No way. I wouldn’t mind the first one cost me €1800 at the time and the second €1400 and I see they are €500 now. Definitely selling them off for a reason. I had a lg 55 before it for 8 years and it came down and went to my son’s room and to this day it’s perfect. Definitely going back to lg after this 😩

Yes. Aww shocking. Wouldn’t mind it’s the second 75in in 2 years😩had a 55 lg 3d up for 7 years before hand. It came down and went up to my son’s room. The tv is still as good as the day it was bought now 9 years ago. Samsung are *****
