Hello,
My Samsung S90D has persistent dark, diagonal lines when viewed to the side in a well-lit room. The lines are there all the time, whether the TV is on or off.
It is distracting and a disappointing viewing experience for a TV that cost me approximately £1500.
I have viewed the same model TV in-store and it doesn't have these lines. I have also viewed other Samsung TVs in store and TVs from their competitors and I don't notice these lines on those panels.
I have attached photos to this post, although bear in mind it is difficult to capture a clear picture of the fault due to the nature of the fault. As in, the fault is mostly visible when there is light on the screen, and the dark lines are reflected. Obviously, due to how a phone takes a photo these lines are harder to see, although they are very clear in person. So much so that I have had visitors comment on the lines without me even mentioning the TV has a fault.

Like you said, it's a bit difficult to see the issue in the photos you have attached. However, it sounds like a hardware uniformity issue, perhaps caused during shipping, maybe.
Has this always been the case since the day you had it delivered, or is this something that occurred afterwards? If it's something that was always there from day 1, I would have recommended returning it and asking for a swap. It sounds, though, that you might be out of your cooling off period. You could try contacting the retailer where you purchased it from and explore your options with them.

This is a panel manufacturing defect, your TV has a Samsung QD-OLED panel. You should have returned the TV immediately after purchase. Write to Samsung support and ask for a replacement, this is an unusual case, but you can get the TV replaced.

I have the same line on my Samsung S90D. It’s definitely a defect in the glass or coating, not the OLED panel. Running tests won’t reveal anything.

I've same issue and asked to submit images. TV was repositioned recently and more obvious under the Sun light. Imgae was also taken with window open to avoid a doubt that it is something on the window.
Pictures are taken from different angles/zoom

I also just bought the S90D, and noticed the same diagonal streak. Was Samsung able to help with this issue, and replace the unit? If I get another one will it have the same issues? They’re asking to send a technician out, and I’m pretty sure they won’t be able to help.

Seems this is a issue across TVs.
Samsung, has asked for pics and awaiting the response. Which country are you from? I shall keep you informed about the outcome. It is distracting and I remember there is a reditt thread on same.
Had I not changed the TV location/placement in room, I would not have noticed as it is essentially visible against Sun light. Never had any issue with C1 and C2 from LG which I owned previously.

Thank you. I was wondering if it was widespread as well. I’m from The US. So it sounds like it might not be worth exchanging? Same thing happened to me - light from outside hit the tv at the right angle and I noticed it.

I'll try for a replacement or a refund. It is right in the middle of screen and annoying. Perhaps use same money and get newer model from Samsung or other brand. In all fairness, I had two LG and none ever had an issue. S90D is good, but not enough to live with this as I can always now see it during day time.
