Problems with video call on Facebook Messenger

Does anyone else experiencing problems with video calls on Messenger? When I try to make a video call ,just white screen comes on.

On other phone works perfectly,so it's not Messenger issue.

@MojcaBB: Rather than downloading an older version of the app from an unauthorised third party site, you may wish to try heading to Settings > Apps > Messenger > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Uninstall updates, to see if this helps. 

When connecting to a video call via Messenger, swipe from the top of the screen to the bottom, select 'Video call effects' and toggle off any options from here, just in case the issue is stemming from an incompatible Background colour or Background image.

Thank you. I haven't download an older version. I contacted help center of Samsung members and they told me, that thay sent issue forward. That it may be problem in application. When they will get answer, they will contact me. That's what they said.

I think it is a Samsung problem. I have it too and my parents allsow. I have S23+ , they A54 and A53s. 

The last update screwed the messager app.

I have to Samsung 24 ultra and i have probleme when i make video i don't see the anouther person everyting its Black and the camera have acces

Having the same problem on s24 on messenger and whatapp. The camera works on Snapchat so it's not a camera issue. Tried deleting and reinstall on both apps and still no good.

I've fixed this issue on my S24 Ultra. I could see everyone on Messenger Video Call but nobody could see me and the screen was just black where my face should have been. I made a video call and it worked.

Go into Messenger, open a chat, open the camera and slide down from the top to open the background options.

Tap the "Auto framing" button ON. 

Thats it. The camera came on.

Hope this helps. It was driving me crazy for months
