i was wondering if it's just me. i have the s24 ultra for almost a week. i have no issues with the fingerprint sensor before and after installing a screen protector. it's only today i realized there's been multiple errors whenever i am unlocking the phone. i even tried deleting all 4 fingerprint and re-registering them again. even so, it took a lot of attempts to even properly register that one fingerprint.
i hope there will be an update soon to address this.

My experience has been that after I re-register, it works well for a few days and then it starts to get into this mode where I keep trying and I run out of the five tries. I think it is a flawed software. I actually returned my original s24 ultra to see if it would work better. And it did work really well for the first two days and today, it's doing the same thing where it's not responding. I tried everything but taking the screen protector off because I don't want to risk scratching the screen.

I posted the following earlier today ...
From watching YouTube videos, I use my same finger, actually my thumb, and create four profiles for the same finger.
I figure I'll have better luck when using that sensor since I have four profiles of the same finger.
The problem, on this phone and even my previous phones, I was never completely satisfied with the outcomes. On a fair percentage of times, my thumbprint didn't register on the first or even the second attempt.
I now know why. In Settings / Device care / Diagnostics / Phone Diagnostics / Fingerprint recognition, I practiced using my thumbprint and now realize what I was doing wrong.
I would typically use the top part of my thumb and the results were never fine; when I used the fat part of my thumb, I nailed it everytime.
If you're having issues with that fingerprint sensor, you can now practice using the built-in diagnostics.
Why didn't I think of this sooner.
Just passing this on.
