Open pdf in messenger

How can I open pdfs sent to me in messenger using Samsung Notes? The only options I have available are Chrome, Docs, HTML viewer and Internet. Only had phone 1 day so still learning!

Hi there 👋 and welcome you can try by going into my files > documents then select pdf file and it should be and option to choose whotch one you want it to be opened like in picture click on samsung notes and press ALWAYS that should set notes as default, see if that helps

Thank you, I tried that but it didn't work, these are the only options I have to open it from messenger

You can try go to settings> apps at top corner press 3 dots then reset app preferences

Just download Adobe reader

You don't need Adobe reader, Google Drive is capable of opening pdf, I personally avoid Adobe reader because it messed me up on previous mobiles, I prefer to use Google Drive

@BinkyMalone: Are you certain that the attached file is a .pdf document? Typically, when opening a file type for the first time, you will be presented with a list of compatible apps. Based on the app options you are being presented with, the file does not appear to be in a recognisable format. Is the message from a trusted contact?
