Open pdf in messenger

How can I open pdfs sent to me in messenger using Samsung Notes? The only options I have available are Chrome, Docs, HTML viewer and Internet. Only had phone 1 day so still learning!

Yes definitely a trusted contact, it opens absolutely fine on my old Huawei phone

@BinkyMalone: Do you have the option of downloading the file? If so, try opening the Samsung Notes app > Tap the 'PDF+' icon > Download > Select the file from here.

When I try to open it I get those 4 options above and if I choose to open with Docs it says it'll upload it then I get these messages

I have a similar problem that's been bugging me for months.

I CANNOT open pdf documents using the default Adobe app from Messenger. Only options I see are those shown below.  Despite acrobat being set as the 'default' app, I've also tried deinstalling, reinstalling, turning 'Open supported links' on & off. Nothing fixes the problem. Note, Adobe DOES open from other apps ... just not Messenger!

Pretty sure this isn't a Samsung OS or Adobe problem. More likely a Messenger issue as I've found other bugs is this Meta naffware.

I have the exact same issue...  Messenger issue only.  I can default open PDFs anywhere else except the ones received in Messenger (as with others here, the Adobe (or any other PDF viewers I install) options don't show up in the OPEN WITH list.
