PersonallyI would open the SIM port, remove the tray, ensure the SIM card is in correctly then reinsert the tray into place and see if that resolves the issue.
In that case, as you've ruled out cameras, then I would suggest this is not normal and I would reach out to Samsung Customer Services to arrange a check by a Samsung Technician.
If you live near a Samsung Experience Store you may be able to book an appointment and they check it whilst you wait.
