Can someone explain to me why Snapdragon Powered S24 Ultra with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU still doesn't support APTx Adaptive? Every single time my phone receives a new update, I keep checking if I can finally see it (I owned Bose QuietComfort Ultras for a couple of months they just received 1.6.7 update today no change whatsoever). The best I can do on my brand new flagship phone is AAC!! Why?? One of primary reasons why I upgraded from S22 Ultra with Exynos 2200 series for the latest Snapdragon CPU, hoping that I can finally use my BT5.3 QuietComfort Ultras without having to use my Creative BT-5 APTX-Adaptive dongle which seems to be the only way for me. I can't see a single reason why there is no support added for Snapdragon Variants if it's a software thing. Do you really want people rooting their few weeks old phones for this or trying to install it from dodgy websites? You can really fix it with a single update or Beta Labs functionality for people eager to try it Samsung!! I had the phone since day one, and it was by far the biggest dissapppointments of starting to use my new Ultra phone this year. This is a link to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SOC Product Specification: https://www.qualcomm.com/products/mobile/snapdragon/smartphones/snapdragon-8-series-mobile-platforms... can someone from Samsung Software team explain it to us customers? It's a listed Codec in Snapdragon product brief. I kept leaving messages on Your Facebook ADs in the UK multiple times asking. I even tried asking that at the Samsung Experience Store whilst awaiting the delivery of my brand new phone, and your employees clearly keep it a secret. I think that more Tech youtubers should start discussing this and spread the awareness.

Before i bought my samsung s24 i should have researched more, but i thought it would have everything and more than my Oneplus 9 pro. Decided between oneplus 12 and samsung s24, but bought samsung and that was a mistake.

Confirmed that samsung swapped out the Broadcom chip from s22 and started using Qualcomm chip for s23. So from s23 users should be able to have all Qualcomm tech. But because samsung want to promote their own proprietary ssc samsung seamless codec, so they can lock us in their eco system.  So my bet is on no one will get the codec. This is a business decision

Its ridiculous,  they don't have full range headphones, only tws. So they give us ldac  but its discrimination other product.

https://youtu.be/dDYa6NCCE04?si=4S-oDYJI0P4L7SS_ Someone has finally made a video about it showing and demonstrating this problem. Hopefully, Samsung finally sees it and gives us the answer we all want.

I also have the same problem. I have high end Bluetooth headphones that use the AptX Adaptive BT CODEC. So I bought a cheap 2021 Motorola Moto G Stylus phone on Amazon for $135 and use it in WiFi mode for streaming and storing high res music. It supports AptX Adaptive and LDAC as well as AAC/SBC. It works fine without a SIM card.

Do what I'm going to do and dump samsung, I'm fed up with all the problems and constant updates on my s23 plus, Sony support aptx apple only use aac so no point there, there is another way which I use and thats to buy a dedicated music player ( I use a astell and kern sr25 ) and tether it via hotspot that way you get full fat hi res never mind cd quality 16bit 44.1, Samsung phones used to be good but they have gone backwards, Sony is the best phone for music playback if you don't want to go the route I have taken but if you do and buy wired headphones as Bluetooth is restricted to cd quality you will hear the benefits 😁

I have purchased the S21, S22 and I am currently using the S23 (all ULTRA models) and I am very happy with the phones, so much so that if/when released I planned on grabbing the S25 Ultra as it would likely coincide with my contract running out. However, this is a big problem for me - phone manufacturers have removed the 3.5mm headphone jack from their devices and have essentially forced users to use wireless headphones, and as such I would expect a huge company like Samsung to have the entire spectrum of available codex options on these 'flagship' handsets. I have the B&W PX8 headphones, which don't support LDAC, but do support APTXHD and I use TidalHifi and I literally can't get the best use of these with this handset, or seemingly as this is an obvious business decision, with ANY FUTURE SAMSUNG device.

I am really livid about this - my next handset will be one which supports the APTXHD codec, absolutely no doubt about it. Goodbye Samsung! 🖕

I have an old S20 FE 5G. I'd like to upgrade to a newest model and, as I like One UI, I would stick to Samsung. But I will not until they enable APTx Lossless, I have a pair of Creative Aurvana Ace 2 and I want my next phone to fully support them.

I just purchased the Bose Ultras recently and also now have a tidal subscription for full quality audio. I will mainly be using the ultras with my PC; what hardware are you using for a dongle to get the full APTx adaptive via bluetooth? Is there software required on PC to make sure it has end-to-end APTx adaptive via tidal? I'd love to have the option to either plug the dongle into my PC or my galaxy phone if desired (i.e. have hardware that can serve both). Any help you can provide would be appreciated, thank you!
