Yes! It happened to my other phone and they also had to fix the antenna! Great information!

Tricky and funny SOLUTION (probably works for someone else too): I updated my S21 yesterday and then no signal/not registered/emergency calls only. Tried all tricks restarting phone, taking sim in out, resetting network, APN reset etc but nothing worked. My wife has A52 and same network so I swapped the sims with her phone. I found that her sim was working good on my phone but my sim was not working in her phone which made me think that the update process must did something to the sim and I may have to replace my sim. After multiple attempts of 'registering on network', my sim started working on wife's phone too so now both sims working. I swapped the sims back and now both sims are working in their phones as they used to. It's strange if the update process affects the sim in some way, or it could be just a technical glitch.
Samsung should provide a solution for this since it's not easy to change your phone once you invest in one phone with all your data.
And at one point I thought that even if I replace my phone, that might be updated too and might have the same issue then where it gonna end, just keep searching and trying different phones around to find the one which is not updated and works on my sim?

4/24/24 UPDATE: I was absolutely DONE. Traded it in, paid it off 😡, and got a new phone. I did get a $200 credit which is better than nothing. Nothing helped in any of the blogs and Samsung responses. Samsung is responsible as far as I am concerned because of this KNOWN issue. As with many of you, my cell access is my home and work and as a nurse, I need emergency access. Ridiculous update ruined my cell service on both my lines. I am sorry if you continue to deal with this as I did for over 4 months. What a relief to have service again!
I have not done a reset. I am wondering if I should get the antenna fixed like mentioned below. There was another "update" a few days ago and I am waiting to see if they fixed a bug of some sort. Regardless, I will have to do something. When talking on the phone, the reception and cutting in/out is ridiculous.

Service replaced the motherboard yesterday under warranty and the issue seems fixed so far....

I followed someone's advice in here that I saw last week! I went to my local cell phone repair shop and told them about the antenna replacement. They did that. It worked for a little bit and stopped again. They looked at it again then replaced the charging port and my sim tray just in case. It worked. And it's been a few days since. So hopefully it continues to work. My warranty was up but overall I paid $120 to fix it.

Thank you for the suggestions, unfortunately none of them worked. Wi-Fi calling is the only way the phone will work. Once you are out of the house, the phone is quite useless.

Thank you for this post, off to UbreakIfix and see if this solves the issue.
