Yesterday we noticed that our soundbar downstairs was power cycling and would not stop and when I came upstairs the one up there was doing the same thing.  I managed to rest them and they are working but now my 360 R7 speakers are doing it too and I can't get them to reset.  Anyone know what to do?  All the speakers were Samsung.  Does anyone know if they did some sort of update yesterday?

No need to upgrade / reset etc. Download advanced Ip address scanner on your computer. Run the scan to detect all active devices on your network. Look for the entry named Samsung electronics  and block this IP

Hi all,

We've flagged this on our side, and have been advised:

"We are aware of issues affecting Samsung WAM (Wireless Audio Multiroom) Speakers that began occurring during the weekend. We are actively looking into the matter, & ask for patience while investigations are ongoing.

Me and the other mods will keep you updated on any further news we get.

Mine did the same. 8 x speakers in all and they are just looping and telling me "Wifi is ready".

Something has happened to the the wifi connectivity. If you look at your router they will attach but then reset every 30seconds (Look at your connectivity timer). As they do this they will not appear in Multiroom as it's not a stable connection.

I have reset each speaker and have got it to work but if they power cycle or the router is reset then they all lose connectivity again and go back into the loop.

Same here. My concern now, is, even if Samsung fixes things on their servers, will the Samsung Multiroom apps even work well enough to re-setup the speakers? The apps have already been having issues.

thsi was my experience from support.

I see. We haven't received any official reports of this issue but you can try reinstalling the Multiroom app and then also try connecting to the mobile hotspot to see if that will make any improvements. If not, then you can perhaps try the suggestion from the Samsung Community, but you may need to contact your internet service provider for assistance on this since it requires accessing the router settings.

Just had an Update !!

You know what Tim , we have just actually received an official report of this known issue, but they don't have a definite fix yet.

It is now under investigation by our product specialists.

I'm really sorry for the trouble Tim, but don't worry, we are already working on a resolution for this.

Do you have a firewall that allows you to block access to certain websites? If so block these and reset your devices.

Just as an add on to how I got mine working again -

1. Remove Mac filtering on your router if you had it. I blocked my speakers from connecting at 5Ghz and only allowed them to connect at 2.4Ghz. They now won't connect like this and will only connect at 5Ghz (?!? - god knows why). Once I removed all mac filtering they would at least talk to the router.

2. Go through set up for each speaker. Press the button on the bottom and then find them in Multi-Room. They connected and it was stable. I could then use them as normal. (Spotify, Multiroom etc..).

3. I power cycled the speaker and it lost connectivity again. I had to go through set up.

4. Any changes on the router which cause a soft port reset and they lose connectivity. Set up is required again.

My speakers (x8) have now been stable for around 8hrs and I can use them normally (Pre-saturday when it all went to hell).

If you block those network addresses, will the Samsung Multiroom speakers still work normally as they did before with Spotify, etc? I saw another post about blocking the speaker IP or MAC address, but it disabled internet (Spotify) functionality. Also, did you test it on a power cycle of speakers, routers, and network?

Looks like it might be some outside services that Samsung firmware supported, had updated their networks and the Samsung firmware had no contingency code in the firmware to recover from that. Last time I saw that, Toyota head units had to have a firmware update to remove defunct services to keep things working. This sounds like either a firmware update will be needed, or the other services (iHeart, Deezer) will need to update their DNS, or we find a good hack workaround.
