Old number in About after port

Hi people, hope someone can help.

Recently ported my number to a new network but the about section on my S21 amd the Sim Manager section still show the old number that cam with the sim.

It's not causing any massive issues but it is annoying as my contact is asking me to add the old number to my profile and when I add a new card to Google Pay I get a warning that tells me my actual number isn't the one for this mobile.

Can anyone shed any light on how this can be amended? I've contacted my network operator and they said the port is fully complete on there end so there is nothing they can do.

to be honest I am the same, the excitement is unreal, even looking at phones is exciting, samsung and apple website gets a visit daily and on furlough probably every few hours 🤣

I've been wondering the same for years now and I've finally changed it last week. You will need access to an iPhone for this as Samsung doesn't allow you to edit the MSISDN on the SIM. Steps below:
1. Put SIM into iPhone
2. Go to Settings > Phone > My Number
3. Edit the number and save, it should change the stored number on the SIM now

mine thinks I have got a condition and errmmm how would you tell your Mrs you just bought a fold 2 despite recently buying a tablet? help me I'm in trouble 🤣🤣🙈 and whats even worse is you don't get the pleasure of peeling the screen protector off as it had to be on 🥴

tinglish I wouldn't dare!! like I said if I really want an s21 I can buy that and she wouldn't notice the difference, in all seriousness though I want something different next time so if I get some use out of this she this might let me get a fold 3 next year but it will take months of work will that 🤣

😬 I got ahead of myself there,yeah the reason I wanted the s21 ultra is because the design (camera bump) is a bit different from the norm.
I think phone designs last year got a bit stagnant,this year I'm hoping there are more interesting designs.

haha I had to pretend I was a fold owner just for 1 min 🤣 yea the s21 series is nice but just not enough of a push this year for me to go for it, bit like s8 & s9, I think I want to wait it out and see what the end of the year brings and the s22 series on all honesty I will probably either get the s22 6.2 or possibly the new z flip the fold probably still too big even closed

yeah I like the idea of the fold,I'm just not really a fan.the flip phone might be the one I'd look at 🤔
