UI 6.1 Issues

Ever since downloading UI 6.1 on my S21 Ultra 5G I have had nothing but performance issues. If I try to open an app such as Google Maps the app will open and sit on the Google logo and not open up the app at all. I have to close and re-open it several times until the app actually decides it wants to boot up.

Then my music player no longer wants to work. I can't listen to music, it is stuck in a buffering loop. All of my apps are up to date as well, I HAVE ALREADY TRIED UNINSTALLING AND REINSTALLING THEM. That did not work.

This isn't just affecting those apps, it has affected ALL of them. Twitter is barely functional, even when I try to use YouTube.

I tried restarting my phone, that ALSO did not work.

Lastly I have issues where my screen freezes and when I try to tap on the screen to open something or try hitting the home button, it simply does not respond for like 2-3 seconds. I have to keep tapping until it finally unfreezes and works.

Why has nobody mentioned this? I don't know. But it is annoying. I am not factory resetting my phone either just to fix an issue that should have not been there to begin with. I'd like to be able to use my phone. Let's hope they are quick to fix this.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

When did you last perform a Wipe Partition Cache on your device?

I'm going to guess (forgive me) that you've never done it so highly recommend he to remove all the temporary cached files on your device (you won't lose data)

3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.

8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
