I received a software update to my phone this morning and since then I cannot connect to my mobile network and cannot make calls, it says emergency calls only.
This happened after the last software update too.
I have tried all the usual things like turning on and off, turning airplane mode on and off, resetting networks. I have wiped the cache. I do not want to reset to factory settings as this happens every software update.
Any other ideas of what i can try please?

it is an esim, not sure how to swop it over?
Trying to talk to 02 but they want me to phone them.......which I can't. Difficult to contact them otherwise.
I've been on hold for chat for over an hour.
It happened twice before after a software upgrade, last time just turning it off and on again repeatedly fixed it and the time before it was the network access point that was changed. Tried all of that this time and still nothing. I don't understand why I have the same issue after every software update?

Do you mean auto connect to network?

Thank you. To be specific do you mean in the menu network operators, toggle to 'off' the option select automatically? Seems that toggle is broken, it won't toggle off and just flashes up an error 'error while searching for networks' So basically I cannot turn that off. Any thoughts?

I tried everything, including resetting my phone. Spent 16 hours in total. Network said it was a software issue samsung knows about. My phone is one year old and only now a small tablet on wifi. I had to put my sim card into an old iPhone 7 to have a phone. Now looking at a newer iPhone. I'm completely frustrated
