I'm a user of the Galaxy S23+ smartphone, and I use the Samsung Email app to access my hotmail emails. The app has always worked without any issues, but approximately 5 days ago, it stopped being able to search for old emails.
Whenever I use the search function, it returns the errors: "Unable to search" and "Inbox was searched on the server. No emails found." The only way I can access old emails is by setting the display period in the settings to "Always." However, this makes the loading process slower and still returns "No emails found" when I perform a search.
Has anyone else experienced this issue or knows how to fix it?

I can certainly help you identify why you can't find your older emails, @Mariner_Rio @TheChico
Can you find and access your older emails if you sign into your email account on a web browser via the email account provider's website?

Thank you @AsadM
Everything is working fine for me at the web browser and even if using the outlook app. The error is happening only at the Samsung Email app.

Thanks for sharing this, @Mariner_Rio. Let's check the email sync period to ensure it's adjusted correctly. You can do this by going into the Email app > 3 lines in the top left > Settings cog in the top right > Select your email account > Scroll down to sync settings > Select 'Email sync period' > Apply the option convenient for you. If the emails are over a month old, it'll be ideal to select 'All time'. After you've done this, go into your Inbox, swipe down to refresh your folder.

Thanks again for helping, @AsadM
As english is not my main language, probably some of the terms I used were different, but that was what I was using as a partial solution.
Previously I would always set the sync period to about a week as to display only recent e-mails. Whenever I needed to look for an older e-mail, the search feature would show the option to serch for older emails, last 12 months and then older than 12 months. This would make the app search for the mails at the server and worked just fine till about a week ago.
Now, the only way I can access these mails is changing the sync period to All Time, but this makes the inbox full with all my mails, makes the sync a lot slower and shows notifications of older left as unread ones (I keep all my mails and used to leave some important ones as unread to make them easier to find when searching in the app). Like I said, it works as a partial solution to try and avoid the error.

If the Email app is running slower because you've applied 'All time' as your sync period, @Mariner_Rio, it will be ideal for you to send an Error report within 15 minutes after this happens. This will allow one of our Specialists to look into the issue and identify if this is a fault, or if the app is running normally. You can send this by going into the Members app > Support > Error reports.

I have exactly the same problem. We don't want to sync all our messages. We want to sync a week or a few weeks but have the ability to search further back (without having to bring up all the emails up to that point) This also started for me a few days ago and is extremely annoying.

Tried sending the report as suggested, @AsadM. No error found at support. After all the initial sync the app behaved at normal speeds, it was more like too much mails to sync.
The search error continues happening, and as @CMcL said at the post here, it is really annoying. I can't find what changed days ago so the app started showing this error.
