Amazon Ring doorbell V2 does not send notifications to my Samsung S21FE phone

Hi,

I have this Ring Doorbell V2. At first I was not getting any notifications on any phone. Then I fixed it for the Samsung Note 20 Ultra (clearing the cache), then I started getting the notifications properly on that device.

Unfortunately, I have the same issue on S21 FE (no notifications), which has Android 14 (and not 13). I get no notifications from Ring (but I do from other apps).

I phoned Ring support and we tested various things for an hour. We noticed that my ring account send notifications on my phone (Note 20 Ultra), and the S21FE ring account is not getting any notifications on the S21 FE.

Then we tried my ring account on the S21FE and the S21FE ring account on my Note 20 Ultra: no notifs on the S21FE but notifs on the Note 20 Ultra.

So something happening on the S21FE phone. I checked every settings, notifications are on, even for the ring app, and there is nothing unusual beside not getting the ring notifications. We get any other apps notifications by the way.

I have no more ideas, anyone has a clue?

Very odd, you have clearly done the key things.

Hi thanks for responding.

Yes we did clear the cache of the ring app and also I did clear the S21FE cache in recovery mode...

Its not working. We even tried with the motion notifs on although its different than the ring notifications...

Have you spoken to Ring? Maybe their app isn't android 14 compatible

I just googled it, there is articles on ring.com.
It seems their app having issues with android 14

Yes of course, we spoke for an hour. Ring app is compatible with Android 14, and they claim there are not aware of any issues with OneUI6.x phones for example.

We tried everything possible from their support solutions and at the end they gave up and said check with Samsung...

No worries thanks for the help anyway! I will also check again on ring forum for Android14 issues but the Ring support said there isn't...

Just had another look, nothing else I can think of very odd.

I have Ring same account running off a few Samsung mobiles and non issues, but all Android14.

Where is that 3rd screenshot from?
And the Android icon?

Thata from the Note20 Ultra (Android 13). The settings are the same as on the S21FE thats why I took a screenshot from that one for convenience:).

The icon is keepass2android, its just the app for managing passwords.
