New UI 6.1 issue - Navigation bar

So I just updated to the new One UI 6.1 and I noticed my navigation bar went back to default. No big problem I'll change it. Only thing is that when I go to chnage it how I had it before that option is no longer there.

I used to have the navigation bar where you'd have to swipe up to mimic the default navigation. For example: 

• If I wanted to go back I'd swipe up from the bottom right.
• If I wanted to exit I'd swipe up from thr middle
• If I wanted to close all recent apps or view them I'd swipe up from the left side.

I like this because it kept the phone clean and there was no bar at the bottom like I'm forced to do now

Well I just had a long reply typed out and then it for some reason decided to load a "take a survey when you're done!" Page and I lost it all. 

I think I'm going to Google Pixel for my next phone. This is ass. 

I was able to change back to the swipe gestures. But the problem is, the "recents" guesture doesn't work. It does nothing. It just closes the app. 

Trying to use the gestures bring up the Google Help interface 75% of the time. I have turned the stupid buttons back on, I really hope they fix this or I'm out. I hate these buttons and I absolutely have to have the ability to get to recent apps as I do a lot of work between apps. 

FIX YOUR TRASH SAMSUNG! I PAID $1200 FOR THIS STUPID PHONE IT SHOULD WORK BETTER THAN MY $600 LAPTOP AND IT DOESN'T!

Give me my old gestures back please I don't wanna hear it. I don't want any bar at the bottom, bottom right-back bottom middle- home bottom left-recent apps

This is just annoying, loved the way the old gestures worked. I think no one was in need of a change. 

This new line even takes a bit of my screen and when keyboard is opened going back is a pain. 

Hope they go back or just give the option to have the old style again.

Absolutely agree. One of the worst updates ever. Why I am forced to do gestures which pure ***** and the most perfect solution was just removed.
They also screwed Always on Display clock layout.
Seems they are forcing us to buy Pixels

Here is the explanation on how to do it.

In my case i also had to install Finelock (available in my region) to make the Navstar app work.

Seems silly to have to go through all this just to have the old gestures back. 😑

Samsung! They make good things you get used to, then they break them or take away the features. That's their history for the last decade or so. I'm a sucker for falling into the update trap all the time

In reality edge gestures are not reliable, the keyboard or the video window affects it. Not an equal replacement at all
