Why did we lose the navigation bar?

I don't understand why Samsung removed the navigation buttons that could be hidden. I really hate buttons and now I have to use them. Samsung, please fix this. Whoever had this brilliant idea, I hope they fire them....I'm furious. It's almost better to use an iPhone.

It's down to Google, they changed the features not Samsung.

Download Good Lock navstar from the galaxy store. It will allow you to add the gesture settings.

Firstly the gestures are worse on an iPhone. So i don't agree with that.
Google has implemented the changes to accommodate the new AI features as part of the Android operating system.
So the changes are here to stay.
Like what @Fiona26 has said. Download the Samsung Goodlock app and Navstar plugin from the Galaxy Store.
You can use these to alter the gestures to more how you prefer.

Eventually all Android devices will be running the same thing. So it's something to get used to.

Personally I've had the gestures for that long now that I completely used to it.
