I really enjoyed using Samsung phone also because of their unique navigation feature. Specifically, I am talking about the option to set the bottom navigation buttons (running apps/home/back buttons) to be just three swipe-able lines and later making those lines invisible.
This navigation bar was in my opinion better compared to the standard navigation gestures present in all android/iOS phones because of the following reasons:
1. Faster navigation. When you want to access all open apps, currently you have to swipe a bit up, hold your finger there until the animation finishes and then your apps are displayed. This makes the navigation slower because you have to wait for the gesture to be registered. This is a noticeable difference coming from the invisible navigation feature because as soon as you swiped the left bar, the open apps UI would instantly appear.
2. Better responsivity. Some applications allow for certain UI elements to be horizontally scroll-able or they allow horizontal gestures. This affects the navigation gesture to go back by swiping from the left/right edge of the display making it unpredictable and not easy to use. Sometimes it even causes you to be unable to go back. This style of navigation is very user-unfriendly.
3. More screen real-estate. This is not such a big deal but it is still a plus for the invisible navigation bar. When you make it invisible, the navigation bar does not use any pixels on the screen and is hidden all the time. This allows more things to fit on one page as well as making the overall UI cleaner and more intuitive.
Is there any way it could be brought back, even if in developer options ? Is there anything I can do to get it back on my phone without needing to downgrade my OneUI version ? I have gotten used to using the new navigation bar but every time I use it, I just remember how better the removed (invisible) navigation bar was

@Members_nAxrWA9 some further detail here:
Go to the Samsung Store app
Download latest version of "Goodlock" or ensure you have the latest update if you have it on your Device already.
Open Goodlock
Scroll down and install Navstar
Open it and toggle on
Enable the extra gestures setting
Now you need to open your phone settings
Go to Display
- Navigation Bar
- Select Swipe Gestures
- More Options
The original option will be restored.
