My Eco bubble blew the fuse and melted part of the plug and scorched the wall socket. I’ve tried to report this but the online trouble shooting options do not obviously list this as an issue. Yet I can see this has happened to a number of customers. Please could someone from a Samsung contact me to resolve this as I am now without a machine but thankfully the fuse did its job and prevented a fire.

This has just happened to my machine today! Seems to be a common fault and a dangerous one!
How do you go about getting this repaired? Is it covered by the warranty seen as though it seems to be a known fault?
Many thanks

It sometimes makes me wonder if these machines were originally made for the european market where they use these type of Schuko plugs

which have no fuses inside and are rated at 16amps as opposed to UK 3 pin plugs rated at 13a

Maybe for the UK market they just replace the lead with just one with a moulded 13a 3pin plug on ... I mean thats what I am thinking, of course I could be completely wrong

Mine is out of warranty, Samsung said the plug is at fault but I need to pay the repair cost! I have spoken to Citizens Advise who have sent details to Trading Standards. Please, everyone needs to report this to Trading Standards (can be done via Citizens Advise).

The same this has just happened to us. We came home to a burning smell. We realised it was coming from the washing machine plug. On inspection the fuse and plug had melted. This is really scary as we sometimes run overnight. We have two young kids and now having read so many other reviews, sighting the same issue, we are scared to use it. I cant believe Samsung knew about this and didnt contact people to warn them. This could have set our house on fire.

I will be checking this with Trading Standards.
