Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my Samsung washing machine (model WW70K5210UX/LE) specifically related to the AddWash door.
The AddWash door is completely stuck—it won’t open at all, regardless of what I try. Here's what I’ve done so far:
Turned the machine off completely
Unplugged it from power and waited several minutes
Made sure the main door is open
Checked that no cycle is running
Still, the AddWash door stays firmly locked.
When I turn the machine on, I hear a clicking sound coming from the AddWash lock area—almost like it's trying to unlock—but nothing happens. After a short time, the washer proceeds normally, filling with detergent and water even though I haven’t started a cycle.
Important: The washer itself works fine otherwise—no issues with washing cycles, main door, or performance. It’s just the AddWash door that remains locked at all times.
Has anyone experienced this? Is this likely an issue with the solenoid lock mechanism or a faulty AddWash lock assembly? Would appreciate any advice or guidance before I look into a repair or replacement part.
Thanks in advance!

I have exactly the same problem.
Addwash door is locked and when I turn on the machine without starting a program it starts a making washing sound for 30 Sek and I can not change the program or anything. If you find a solution please let me know too.

I think the add wash lock is broken, I'm trying to find a way to access it. You should be able to remove front panel of the door and get access to the lock as seen in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25e6sTf1L_k. But my door doesn't have those two screws on the left side so I'm not sure how to open it.
