Samsung Automatic Fabric Softener Not Working

My new samsung washing machine's automatic fabric softener stopped working and Samsung is unable to repair it.  I know of two other individuals who experienced the same issue.  This seems to be a manufacturing issue and customer service center agreed it was unrepairable.  Buyers beware!

as a workaround , if the rest of the machine is working ok, could you try using those detergent capsules with built in fabric softener, toss one or 2 of them in the drum , i know it seems odd and its one of the reasons you bought the machine for the autodose part but it still might save it from the tip.
