Hi - we have had a washing machine for around 18 months and use the auto dispense function. No issues until last month when it was saying the dispenser was empty, even though it was full. We cleaned it all out and followed the guidance in the manual. Then we noticed the softener going down at all, and it's basically stopped working. Seems like an issue with the pump or whatever mechanism is used to collect the softener.

It was brought in the UK - would it still be under warranty?

If not, any ideas on how to fix this?

Model is ww90t684dlh

According to google search.
If your Samsung washing machine's auto dispenser isn't working, here are some things you can try

Clean the detergent drawer

Regularly clean the drawer to prevent residue buildup that can cause dispensing issues. You can remove the drawer by pushing in on the ends and pulling it out for a front load washer, or pulling it out and tipping it up for a top load washer. You can use a soft brush and water to clean the drawer, and remove detergent residue and lime scale.

Check the dose per wash settings

You can change the dose per wash setting for detergent and the dose per rinse setting for softener. The settings can be set to Off, Low, Med, or High, with Med being the default.

Check for clogs

If the dispenser hasn't been used in a long time, it may be clogged.

Check the sensor, batteries, or wiring

If the dispenser is automatic, the sensor may be damaged, the batteries may be dead, or the wiring may be faulty.

If these steps don't work, you can contact Samsung for further assistance.

Depending what warranty your washer machine came with, 12 months, 24 months or some have an extended warranty for 5 years which you may have activated when you purchased it. So it may still be under warranty If you registered it, or where you purchased the machine may have provided warranty. Definitley worth finding out if the machine is still covered.
