I purchased the SAMSUNG - ecobubble WW80J5555FW 8 kg 1400 Spin Washing machine back in August 2019. It has recently started to pause the cycles after a few minutes, I have to turn on and off repeatedly to get it working again. Sometimes it will complete a cycle, sometimes it won't. Today I have an error message 3C and a slightly unusual noise at start of cycle, like a clicking noise. I have cleaned all filters, turned machine off etc at mains and back on. Still not working as it was originally. Any ideas? Is this the motor? If so, is it expensive to fix? Ie better to just get a new machine? Many thanks for any advice.

According to google the 3c error does indicate a problem with the motor.
You could Inspect the Drum: Spin the drum manually to check if it moves freely without any resistance. If there's resistance or if it feels stuck, there could be an issue with the drum bearings or motor.
I'm not sure about pricing, but you could call samsung to enquire about a price. Then decide if its worth fixing or time for a new machine.

@Emily67: If you are seeing a '3C' error code, then please try unplugging the appliance at the wall for 1 minute, then plug it back in, power back on, and start a new cycle. Let me know if this helps.

Hi Emily. I tried everything to get the problem resolved. Engineers just didn’t know how to solve it. Ending up buying another washing machine, different manufacturer.

Hi, many thanks for this. The error code has now gone. It is still not working correctly. It seems to be getting stuck during inital stages of cycle. It doesnt matter which cycle I use it is almost pausing after few minutes. I have to press pause/play button again and again to get it to start up again. Then after 5 minutes the same issue happens. It is filling with water. Once it gets to spin cycle it works just fine. Any ideas? Many thanks.

@Emily67: This issue can sometimes occur when the washing machine is overloaded. Try removing some of the wash load so it is lighter, or run a cycle with an empty drum to see if the issue persists. As per the above, please try powering off the machine and unplugging it at the wall for a minute, then plug it back in and try again.

Hey @Emily67 , I have the exact same model, and same issues and error. I bought the model in early 2020. Curious, were you able to find out what the problem was?
