My washing machine suddenly ground to a halt last week, the fuse appears to have caught fire and its damaged the wall socket behind i46at. Anyone else had a similar experience? It is a 10kg ecobubble ww90ta046ax. We have an engineer coming to look at it tomorrow, but to be honest, even with a repair, the trust in the appliance being safe has gone now.

But see what the engineer says.
Could be an issues with the socket outlet rather than the appliance
Sounds like you'd need to get a qualified electrician to replace the socket outlet itself anyway
