Fold 4. Wifi not turning on

I received the latest firmware update on the 15th of May. After installing, the phone restarted several times on its own but appeared to be fine to start with. What I did notice though was that the phone was very hot and the battery was draining quickly, till it eventually switched it self off. So, I recharged the phone and switched it back on. What I found was that the phone had gone into flight mode. I turned the flight mode off and then I found that the WiFi was turned off. I've tried turning on the the WiFi. It turns it self straight back off. I've tried resetting the network settings. Makes no difference. The WiFi will not turn on.

Have the same issue here, started with the August 14 update.  Lost Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.  My local Verizon store was no help and stated they knew nothing about this issue.   Have tried everything everyone else has with no resolution.  This was with my Z Fold 4.  I have had the Z Fold 2, Z Fold 3 and now the Z Fold 4 for a year with no issues.... Loved this phone.  I was ready to trade it in for a Z Fold 5 but now having second thoughts.

I would look into consumer rights. They have the responsibility to repair refund or replace if the phone has gone faulty through 'normal use'. WiFi not working is not through abuse or neglect.

THANKS,,,I WILL LIKE TO KNOW THE LEGAL  ACTIONS CAN BE DONE IN THIS CASES. BECUASE I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS MALFUNCTIONS.

I have the same problem with my fold 3 and to run the diagnostic on the WiFi you have to be able to turn it on in the first place so that suggestion doesn't work.

I now have the same issue. My Fold4's wifi just stopped working, not only did it stop working but it then put my phone into continuous reboot mode. Only when I close the phone and then boot it up does the phone come back on. Once the phone is back on, wifi will work for about 15 or 20 minutes and then it will turn off and I cannot enable it again.

I've been a Samsung phone customer for years this is very disappointing.

I've confirmed now that if boot the phone up while it's folded it boots up fine and wifi works with no issues but as soon as I open the phone the wifi stops working until I reboot it again.

I have the exact same problem since yesterday evening (10 hours ago), when the phone is close I don't have any problem (except maybe a slight overheating) but as soon as I open it I get a message saying that the SIM card is not detected (but that only last a few seconds) then the wifi and bluetooth disconnects and can't be turn on again when turned off until I reboot the phone

Just woke up to a phone that doesn't appear to have WiFi or Bluetooth any more. I'm getting so fed up with fold phones. This is not good. I think I may go and buy a Sony. The phone isn't showing a WiFi or Bluetooth mac address so I'm guessing the interface card isn't running.
