So conclusion is basically a loss cause and to send in for repair or get new phone?
Mine Fold4 started doing the WiFi issue the past few days. I remember an OTA update on ATT was done I think last week. Been having issues with home wifi for a while so didn't notice on the phone till I could not turn wifi on. After reading some bit, a few suggested a hard reboot [power+volumedn till reboot] and when it came back up, volia, wifi was on and working.. Not sure how long would last, maybe 5 mins, maybe an hour but would do it again. Now as of yesterday, wifi will not enable at all even with reboot. Should mention bluetooth still works fine.
What sucks is the warranty expired 08/2023... 🙄
Have the extra insurance with ATT and filed a claim last night. They are sending me a Fold5 5G.
Unless anyone has any new suggestions with out doing a factory reset. I really don't want to change phones again but need wifi.
Oh and battery been draining faster than usual for the past few days also. Not sure if its actually related or what. I know some mentioned that.
I do have a S22 5G Ultra that I use to for games. I really like the big screen of the fold short of using a tablet...

The tech I spoke to in store did explain to me that there are two parts they are repairing regularly on the folds. One is a harness that runs through the hinge and the other is the main board. My personal guess is that there is a defect in the harness that after awhile either breaks or pulls out of the board damaging itself or the board.
That's my guess just over how my WiFi issue started, I was connected to Wi-Fi when I got home but lost it right after I unfolded my phone.

Ok yeah I think I may have read that to.. Makes sense as I remember hearing that the hing will have a life to it but this is different. I did try mine with the fold closed and still same... Was hoping it was just while opened.
You know if its wires? or a um not sure what it would be called where if anything is turning or rotating that it stays connected. I can see the wires breaking after being opened and closed a few hundreds or thousand times.. I dunno.. So defiantly a poor design flaw.. You would think with this being the 4th one, it would of been.... 'Perfected' lol

We're all in the same situation , and about the warranty, this doesn't change anything, Samsung will find any micro scratch anywhere on the phone and will tell you that it's out of warranty because it's damaged. Definitely not a post sales service at the level of this - supposed - premium device.
About the battery, I observed the same problem , and it's probably due to the fact that the phone always tries to find some 4/5G networks which consumes more power vs being connected to a wifi network.
Note: on my side, the temporary workaround you mention doesn't work, but I found another one that I described in my previous post. Hope this help
Time to move back to Apple with their poor innovation but at least it works and don't leave you without attention when something goes wrong.

Hi all,
As regards the Wi-Fi issue in the OP, the developers have advised us that they are looking for more log files from users affected by it. If you're able to, can you send some their way?
As soon as you can after the issue occurs (within 15 minutes is best):
Samsung Members > Support > Send feedback > Error Reports > [select error type] > choose frequency of issue, and write an accurate and good description (and attach any screenshots/pictures/videos showing the issue if you want/are able to) > tick ‘Send system log data’ > Send (the > icon on the top right).
(Or, for a shortcut: Long-press the Samsung Members icon on the Apps screen, and select 'Error reports' from the dropdown menu, and follow the steps from there.)
That will send that report and log files for the Samsung developers to analyse.

About the wifi issue, there's a workaround : when wifi disappear, go to wifi settings and enable it. The system will try to activate it , at this moment just restart the phone and wifi will come back. Unfortunately problem will reappear 1 or 2 days later max.
The good news is that it demostrates that it's likely a software problem and samsung will have to do something.

I, and many others that use Reddit, replaced our screen savers with zero problems - literally 5 MINUTES to do so. I bought the 'milomdoi' kit off amaz on. It was about forty dollars Canadian but had three tablet screens, three front and 3 camera protectors, plus plastic jigs + minikits to clean & remove dust, and to put the screensavers in the exact correct position. I've actually done it twice. My screensaver started cracking after 8 months from new, and completely split ad, you guessed it, about 1 week after warranty. But I *did* call supprt at the 9 month warranty, but I would have to send it in the mail over 1800 kms away to the 'closest repair depot' to replace it IF THEY EVEN ACCEPTED IT (phone is still pristine, always kept in full case). I could not be without my phone for 2-4 weeks, and risk having it stolen from (or by) the courier, so I declined. Side-note - I put security downloads on hold back on my phone in June I think last year, when the business with dead bluetooth/wifi started. I'd rather that than useless bricked phone.
In any event, once my screensaver cracked, I was reading that the screensave,r once broken, could actually crack the screen. Thats when I bought the milomdi. Welp I gently inserted a very thin fine tool under the lifted screensaver I was able to carefully but EASILY remove the broken one. It was SO EASY, it looked like any other aliexpress-type plastic screensaver. I couldn't believe what a huge fuss about the OG screensaver has been made, it feels like I was duped for some reason and made to fear a simple process. like the phone is a delicate piece of cotton candy. Support couldn't just tell me to "peel that sucker off girl, just be slow and careful."
