I received the latest firmware update on the 15th of May. After installing, the phone restarted several times on its own but appeared to be fine to start with. What I did notice though was that the phone was very hot and the battery was draining quickly, till it eventually switched it self off. So, I recharged the phone and switched it back on. What I found was that the phone had gone into flight mode. I turned the flight mode off and then I found that the WiFi was turned off. I've tried turning on the the WiFi. It turns it self straight back off. I've tried resetting the network settings. Makes no difference. The WiFi will not turn on.

I installed an update about a week before the issues started. Only about two weeks ago. There was a One UI patch as part of that.

Same here ln my Fold 4. Wifi won't turn on. Freezing trying to activate but nothing. Was after last security patch. Phone is 15 months old.

Bluetooth works well.

I did hard factory reset but nothing. I am thinking to install a custom ROM to see if that works. ( UI 5.1.1, on android 13).

Just spent an hour "troubleshooting" this issue with no luck, off to the service center tomorrow i go.  Galaxy Fold 4, never dropped, always in case. Everything was working this morning, went and had my haircut and when i got home, no wifi.  I went down the rabbit hole and was dismayed to see this is an issue that has been going on since launch with no fix from Samsung.

Please, anyone with an update on resolving the wifi and hotspot turning-on issue? because I have been having the same issue for about 10 days now and the phone is less than 10 months old. I also started noticing a day ago that one of my SIM slots not functioning properly.

As mentioned above, I took my phone to the service center and got it repaired outside of warranty (phone was 10 months old). The entire screen (with the WiFi antenna embedded had to be replaced). Samsung mentioned the phone had a dent and claimed that was the reason for the fault. I had to foot the bill, circa 500 USD. After the repair, work has worked for another 6 months this far.

I guess some people in the forum from countries where consumer laws are stricter got it repaired under warranty. good luck!

I did the same and send in to service centre. As it was 13months old, just 1 month post 1yr warranty. Samsung offer a 1 off gd will repair at no cost. ETA is 3 wks for the repair. Ive just got it back and its working fine now. Mentioned that its a hw failure on the screen. Funny thing is most of the pple in here got triggered to the same hw failure after an update. My guess is that the sw could have caused more energy consumption on the wirings and caused 'burn out' . Ive gotten a new phone and plan to sell off this Z4 fold as there is no guarantee it wont happen again.

Hi, I've been having this issue with my zfold 4 since last year, october can't connect to wifi.

I'm really disappointed with this phone. I bought it just over a year, and the screen protector has lifted up. Went into the store only to be told, the phone is damaged, i was showed evidence on the side of the phone. What they showed me was a few scratch marks (really)I didn't understand what that had to with the screen saver. I was advised I could have a free screen saver, but they would advise me not to because applying pressure on the phone may cause it to bleed (yes bleed).
I did not take out a policy because I've had mobiles in the past, and nothing like this has ever happened. They told me it would cost me £500.00 to fix. I paid £1,400 just over a year for the device.
I know I will never buy, go into a contract with samsung again.

Update to the issue:

1. Spent time with Samsung and walking through the steps to try to get it working. no luck

2. Was set up an appt with UBreak I Fix to have them look at it.  Day of appt when I arrive I'm told by the tech that they will  replace the hinge first but that this hasnt worked on any of the phones he's worked on so far. The next step would be replacing the board with a lead time of 3 to 4 weeks.

3. Ended up getting a replacement phone from my carrier

Seems like Samsung knows there is an issue with Wifi and Bluetooth in the GF4 but are doing the "stay silent" thing about it.

Hi everyone,

I had the same issue. I tried everything (reboot, system reset, network cache reset) without success. I was using the phone with 4/5G during weeks without wifi when suddenly I ran out of battery during a phone call.  After plugging the device and restarting it, I realized that I was connected to Wifi. Issue seems resolved but the problem appeared again some days later. I ran out of battery on purpose and restarted it , but surprise , wifi was not available, problem was present again.
I consumed the battery again and called the phone using another  phone when battery was 1% until the phone shut down. After plugging and restarting, Wifi is available again. Conclusion: When you're on a call and out of battery, it seems that something happens! Probably it goes until a real 0% when it shut down during a call VS some remaining battery when you're not in call, and this makes a difference and resolve the problem. At that point, it's not crystal clear if it's a HW or SW issue, but this will end with Samsung support as there's definitely something wrong with the phone.
Hope it helps
