My fold 5 has WIFI discovery and connection issues. Upgraded to U8, still the same problem. All other phones are fine, it is a fold issue.

Some other Troubleshooting you could try.
If resetting The Network connections does not sort it out,Go to Settings- Connections - Wi-Fi - Tap the cog symbol to the right of your router - Forget . This is the bottom right on the list. Toggle your Wi-Fi off and on again - Select your router from the list of available connections, and run through all the connection steps.
Thereafter go to Settings - Connections - Wi-Fi - Tap the cog next to your router, under view More select the MAC Address Type and set this to Phone MAC. If the issue persists, I would suggest pressing the Volume Down and Power buttons together for around 10 seconds until the phone restarts, the reason being that this will refresh the software and address any issues that might be causing problems. An idea also to reboot the router if still issues.
If no resolution couldtry Safe Mode and keep it in this Mode for at least 2 hours, https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ if the issue is not present in Safe Mode would pinpoint recent third party apps which have been installed.
However if still problems advisable to send an Error Report-via Samsung Members Go to Support-Send Feedback - Networking-Wifi. Describe the issue and ensure that systems logs are attached (option should be ticked by Default)
