I received the latest firmware update on the 15th of May. After installing, the phone restarted several times on its own but appeared to be fine to start with. What I did notice though was that the phone was very hot and the battery was draining quickly, till it eventually switched it self off. So, I recharged the phone and switched it back on. What I found was that the phone had gone into flight mode. I turned the flight mode off and then I found that the WiFi was turned off. I've tried turning on the the WiFi. It turns it self straight back off. I've tried resetting the network settings. Makes no difference. The WiFi will not turn on.

UPDATE:

So I sent it off, as expected I was told that because of cosmetic damage, the phone was out of warranty. There was a chip on the hinge and the back glass was damaged, both things that happened soon after I got it and did not affect the phone for 9 months. For some reason, they have also declared one of my screens is not working which was not the case when it was sent off, they also refuse to tell me which one, onl,y that it also needs replacing just in case. €1000 is what I was quoted, for an in warranty phone to have the wifi re-enabled after a software update bricked it. They wont even check the issue until I pay or I refuse the repair. The woman in Customer Solutions assured me this would not happen..

Its all wildly absurd.

What an absolute farce

Same problem here, but mine is even worse, because I had it on TWO Galaxies Fold 4...

The first one was purchased in Vietnam during my 2022 holidays (I live in Spain) and after a firmware update this spring, WiFi and Bluetooth stopped working.

The second one was purchased in Spain, and after the firmware update (I don´t know if it was exactly the same version) ALL connections stopped working (no SIM, no Bluetooth, no WiFi).

I contacted Samsung support by phone and they asked me to reset connections, restart and wipe to factory with no luck and still no connections working.

After that I went to a Samsung support center in Madrid, and even as my phone is under warranty, they tried to charge me because it was wiped! I had to make a formal complain and finally they accepted to fix it without any charge because I wiped it following THEIR own procedure...
I got if fixed several days later, and they said had to replace the main screen because the fault hardware goes with it.

Customer support is TERRIBLE about this problem, and they even said I must send my other terminal to Vietnam, because they don´t fix it in Spain, because it was purchased in Vietnam !!!
How stupid is that ???

Even more stupid is this:
Galaxy Fold 4 are ALL Made in Vietnam, so then seems logic you should fix your very expensive scrap in EVERY country you are selling it!

After all of this I´m done with Samsung, and I will look to other brands with a proper customer support.

SHAME ON YOU SAMSUNG!

I am joining many others.

I have purchased my phone in Israel.

Updated to latest update and restored a week ago.

Since then wi fi does not work. Bluetooth is working.

When I press on wifi, it becomes slightly red but eventually goes to black sgain and cannot be turned on.

I assume that It is a software bug as with you guys.

Currently living in Europe so cannot fix it as the warranty valid only in the country I bought it from as far as I know (anyone knows something esle ).

My question, what should be done to let samsung know about this issue.  I am sure that they can fix this with a small software update. We just need somehow to let them know about this.

I experienced a similar problem where I initially thought the issue with my WiFi was related to software, since it would sometimes work again after restarting the phone. However, I discovered that this was not the case.

Starting from yesterday, my phone shuts down whenever I fold it, and it won't even turn back on while it's closed. Interestingly, the WiFi now stays operational as long as the phone is kept open.

I suggest checking if your WiFi gets disabled when you fold the phone. If so, it would be wise to back up all your data as soon as possible. From what I've read, this seems to be a fairly common problem. It appears to be related to a short circuit that occurs when the phone is folded, which might be why my WiFi would get disabled initially.

As per my original response above, my wifi and bluetooth were erratic. It would work mainly with the phone closed. I was away on holidays and unable to send it for repair. Eventually the wifi stopped altogether.

On my return home, I visited the Samsung customer center in Doha/Qatar and the lady who helped tried all the "resets" and other information online to revive it. Without success (off course, as if I had not tried it multiple times). She told me their technician will have another go in terms of resetting the phone (good luck with that) but if this is not successful she said they would have to check the main board. Which I believe will require them to replace the the inner screen anyway.

I am waiting to hear back from them for the time being and will let you know.

P.s.: phone is still under 1 year warranty so fingers crossed.

P.s.2: I have mentioned this and other discussions online with people facing similar issue and I was told the issue is rare. :smiling-face:

P.s.3: very expensive phone for such an issue. Would the fold 5 have the same problems? Love the phone while it worked, but I am not sure I would trust them again with my bucks!
