Hello,, I've just received my S24 Ultra and compared to my S21 Ultra the colours on the S24 Ultra are washed out and not as Saturated?, I've adjusted all the display settings and still cannot get the colours to match the older S21 Ultra, I've contact samsung uk customer service they went through Smart Tutor and couldn't find anything amiss has anyone else found this to be the same on their S24 ultra? I'm not sure if Samsung UK are aware of this issue? And whether a software update will solve it?, I suspect it's the new Gorilla glass amour glass which is anti-reflective which is great but not at the expense of colour, I'm seriously considering returning the S24 ultra and keeping my S21 Ultra

Hey so I looked it up and some outlets are reporting that the pwm on the s24 series is actually very high. Do you know of a good way to test it?

There are multiple screenshots in this very thread of people talking to Samsung support and then saying it's a known issue with a fix being worked on.

You need a special device to measure PWM. Some Internet resources have already taken measurements and found that the PWM frequency is now 480 Hz (twice as high) and the ripple factor is much lower. Of course, PWM was not completely removed, it is still present, but not as aggressive as it was before

So I just got this reply from Samsung support - the official launch is in few days(31st) so hopefully it will be fixed then, I really have my fingers crossed for this Screenshot_20240127_151250_Samsung Members_1000056269_1706368370.png

Same here.  Noticed right away when unpacking my s24 plus.  My s23 plus is far superior.  Contacted support and they suggested turning off Eye comfort shield and Apaptive brightness which didn't improve things much.  Besides, my s23 plus has those elements turned on and works great.  Support had no other response besides stating they'll pass my feedback on.  I'll look for an update over the next week, otherwise, it's going back.

So the higher pwm is resulting in the weird grain over dark parts of the screen?

This is my version, because when I disable PWM on other models using the OLED Saver app, I get the same (very similar) grain. And I want someone to compare the effect of the OLED Saver program with their S24U. I don’t have an S24U yet and I can’t compare it myself.

I didn't say you said publicly. I said that's what I want to see. And since no one else seems capable of providing a link to this alleged chat image, I finally found it here: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s24-series/s24-ultra-washed-out-colours/m-p/9048046#M3843

Unfortunately I have little faith in this screenshot. Does this one single agent have insider knowledge that no other agent apparently has access to? I also chatted with support and was told no such thing. Others have had the same result as me. I even let them do a remote connection when I knew it was pointless. I was told to submit an Error report in the Samsung Members app and return the phone within 15 days if I don't like it.
