Hello,, I've just received my S24 Ultra and compared to my S21 Ultra the colours on the S24 Ultra are washed out and not as Saturated?, I've adjusted all the display settings and still cannot get the colours to match the older S21 Ultra, I've contact samsung uk customer service they went through Smart Tutor and couldn't find anything amiss has anyone else found this to be the same on their S24 ultra? I'm not sure if Samsung UK are aware of this issue? And whether a software update will solve it?, I suspect it's the new Gorilla glass amour glass which is anti-reflective which is great but not at the expense of colour, I'm seriously considering returning the S24 ultra and keeping my S21 Ultra

Hi Samsung there is a problem with the display on s24 ultra. All the icon look faded and not sharp and vivid. I compared it with my s22 ultra and this phone is super clear and vivid. The phones I have do not have screen protectors so there is am issue. Will this be fixed with a software update. It appears to be a common problem across S24 ultra users

Will Samsung reply to this thread? Do we know if they have even acknowledged this issue? 🤔

It definitely is - you can also try moving the white balance slider and RGB sliders under screen mode and they have absolutely no impact, but they do on the S23 Ultra - so it looks like this entire menu is bugged and the Vivid mode is just broken at the moment.

And also you can go into screen mode and try changing the white balance and RGB sliders - none of that has any effect, so it looks like that entire menu is just broken at the moment. Gives me hope that the vivid mode is just broken and not intentionally left looking dull.

I was always a Samsung fan, maybe because my first phone was from Samsung. Now after 2 years with my old phone A52 5G I decided to upgrade to my first Samsung flagman, instead of budget Samsung phone. Well, I cannot believe what I got for $1.5k. The screen is insanely dull, like without any colors. Comparing to my old phone which cost me $300, colors are very good, vivid and saturated. Yeah, it's an insanely fast phone, and AI is also good, but screen is the most important thing in a phone I think. If Samsung does not fix this in a short amount of time, my next phone will be from an Apple and I will never look back at Samsung.

So I kinda experimented and change my s21 ultra display to "Natural" and it looks more or less like the vivid mode on the S24U. So it is a software issue.

Same here but on my S21U, it seems the vivid mode on S24U is broken. I changed my S21U display settings to natural mode and it's looks more or less same as the S24U. So I'm guessing its a software issue. Please submit an error report, the more users do it the quicker they fix it

Really disappointed with the display, looks so dull and washed out compared to my S21. Switching the display settings between natural and vivid makes absolutely no difference.

Will be returning the device if there's no fix announced in the next few days and will upgrade to an iPhone instead.
