Hello,, I've just received my S24 Ultra and compared to my S21 Ultra the colours on the S24 Ultra are washed out and not as Saturated?, I've adjusted all the display settings and still cannot get the colours to match the older S21 Ultra, I've contact samsung uk customer service they went through Smart Tutor and couldn't find anything amiss has anyone else found this to be the same on their S24 ultra? I'm not sure if Samsung UK are aware of this issue? And whether a software update will solve it?, I suspect it's the new Gorilla glass amour glass which is anti-reflective which is great but not at the expense of colour, I'm seriously considering returning the S24 ultra and keeping my S21 Ultra

You can't change how the text is under each apps, as Samsung changed the layout style when brought out the Android 14 ui6 to being a lot shorter then it used to be.

100% agree - the vivid mode is not working at all i.e. it is the same as the natural mode.  I can really see the difference when I compare my new U to my S22 U side by side with same settings on. Nothing to do with anti-glare screen - it's a bug.

We need a quick fix to rectify this - Samsung please listen.

I have reported this - everyone should do the same.

The screen definitely has a different finish. I'm not going to say polarised, but some sort of effect similar.
On my phone it doesn't look grainy, or at least to my old eyes.
Think it will take getting used to. I personally don't find it detrimental to what I see
But as you can see from the photo between the S23 Ultra and the S24 Ultra
The lights reflect less on the S24 Ultra
I'm wondering if the effect I see is more pronounced if someone wears glasses with maybe a certain type of lens. I don't so not sure with that.
I have a screen protector on it now, so I don't see it on the screen much anymore 11013510_1000003907_1706132907.jpg

Yes, really disappointed, good to know, its not only me facing this. My fold 5 lookes more brighter, more vivid screen and punchier colours, s24 ultra is not even close, looking at it just makes me depressed.

I can confirm that the 'Vivid' screen mode on the S24 Ultra is not currently working as intended. I have compared both screens side by side and the S24 Ultra in 'Vivid' screen mode looks nearly identical to the S21 Ultra in 'Natural' mode.

Changing the S24 Ultra between 'Natural' or 'Vivid' screen mode makes nearly no difference at all.

Hopefully Samsung will address this issue with a software update as I much prefer the 'Vivid' screen mode on my S21 Ultra.

Sorry to hear you're not happy mate. I'm like you, I value display vibrancy over an anti reflective display. The anti reflective may be perfect for people who spend a lot time outdoors and need that anti glare.

This is my understanding too; that it's a software issue and hopefully they can patch it

Hey, same here, the s24 ultra screen is not even coming close to my s22 ultra.

It's quite disappointing given the display was advertised as a big deal with 2600nits of contrast.

I am really having 2nd thoughts on buying the s24 ultra... I'm actually considering returning it.

i'm in the same boat, my s22 ultra look 10x better than this s24 ultra bein washed out on vivid color. i'm really thinking it's software related i'm on the edge to also make a return and keep my s22 ultra .
