Hi, I'm on day 3 of having my S24 ultra and the NFC/contactless payments has stopped working after working on the first day. Has this happened to anyone else/ can anyone suggest a fix?
I was initially using Google wallet.

Is nearby devices given required permissions in the settings for both wallets? It wasn't when I was using Google wallet. Then doing a full restart of the phone after helped. I'm still switching between Samsung and Google wallet though but both are now working

I initially had problems using NFC with my Dutch bank app.  The phone and the app wouldn't see each other.

My then work-around was to have the bank app on top but not opened, that worked.

Now that issue has vanished.  I have no idea if it was the phone, the app, or the payment device in the store, but things are back to normal.

I did a backup to the Samsung Cloud and did he full factory reset... unfortunately NFC still doesn't work. I simply cannot turn it on. I always returns to "off" state

I wanted to share my recent experiences with my S24 Ultra. My relation with the Samsung Galaxy series is that my first phone was a galaxy s2, upgraded to s5 when that one came out, s10 plus and now the s24 Ultra. To be fair, I never experienced something like this and it's truly disappointing that a company like Samsung asks 1500 euro for a phone that doesn't provide the service of a good working NFC and signal. I've read many stories having the same issues which you can find within the Samsung community form. The only solution they mention is to reboot your phone everytime it happens. Sorry, not sorry, this isn't a solution to a major problem. And I also don't think this can be fixed with updates, but is more of an internal phone problem.

SOOO lets go to the beginning: 2 weeks after my purchase I've been encountering frustrating signal loss problems with my S24u. It's especially irritating when I needed my phone for important calls or browsing on the go. I had to reboot my phone to make it work again, which isn't something I expect a new phone to do.

Another headache I've been facing is with the NFC contactless payment. It's just not cooperating as it should. I've checked settings, made sure NFC is enabled, but still no luck. Like the signal loss problem, I have to reboot my phone. This is especially frustrating when you're at the cash register in the store trying to pay.

My suggestion: don't buy the phone. I truly regret not buying the Iphone now and I can't turn it back anymore, it's too late for me now. I never had these problems with the s2, s5 and s10 plus. With these issues on the s24 Ultra, it just put a dent into the reliability of Samsung's hardware and my trust into the company. I'm truly sad because I always expect the best, however.. this one isn't.

I know people will convince me to wait for updates, but I think you might also experience the same problem and reducing cognitive dissonance on your purchase..

Have to regularly reboot to get it working again. So annoying when on the tube as someone generally walks into the back of you when it doesn't work

I have exactly the same issue as well, it is very annoying. I suspect it is to do with a faulty NFC sensor on the phone, which seems like it is a wide spread issue

Same for me, the only solution is to reboot the phone....which isn't great. I tried calling Samsung, they said they are unaware of the issue, but clearly this is a wide spread problem with their devices.

For those experiencing this issue, do any of you own or have been in a BMW recently and used the wireless charger?
