I got One UI 7 on my Galaxy S24 Ultra and I hate every single change. It is such a big drawback for me, that it's almost a showstopper. I used Galaxy S phone since the S III and I have never been so disappointed.
Is there a way to remove this mess and go back to the previous UI?

Depending on how tech savvy or willing to learn you are, Nova Launcher should help with that.

Totally right... One UI 7 sucks a lot. I have never ever been this mush irritated and distracted to any samsung phone ever since. I use only and only samsung since the very very beginning of 2000s. And never touched apple for loyalty , but my Galaxy today auto upgraded to a disgusting OneUI ver7 with an ultimately ugly ,inefficient, stupid, cardview style animation of running apps screen... I could barely hold myself not to crash my mobile. Please, REVERSE this torture, to how it was beautiful and efficient as before. Simple apps view with ability to find fast and easy to switch running apps... in this manner I must scroll huge time and carefully search each and every running app...linear search... what the stupid engineer or designer could have proposed even such a bad design? Samsung must fire him and his team , in a second and never let him approach Samsung buildings even. OMG, what a shame. How I Am ANGRY...

You can downgrade back to 6.1.1

What a disgusting company. to force a cancerous "update" onto their customers without their consent, and arrogantly deny them the basic decency of user-choice.

Unfortunately not. Samsung shows its utter contempt for its users by forcing downgrades onto their products without their consent. Apple does this as well.
However, if enough people contact them with these complaints, it might help the situation. It seems to be the only thing that can be done.

Yes. another feature of this new cancerous update, is that apps on the screen are needlessly extra bright and colorful, which significantly drains battery.
