Edge lighting with Google messages

Hi all , anyone noticed edge lighting not working with Google messages ??? Tried a search and the reduce animation under visual enhancements is off ....

I've sorted this out , need to have " allow pop up" in settings otherwise edge lighting won't work.

Also it's a bit annoying when I have my phone unlocked and I get a text and I can see in the pop up the person's name and message details!!! Can't change that unless I turn off pop up !!

mine also doesn't work with the screen off... let's hope they'll fix it with the next update

Need to make sure pop up is turned on in notification and show whilst screen is off is turned on

It's working fine now , edge lighting works every time I get a message, only thing that annoys me is getting name and brief details pop up on the screen when my screen is on , so if I'm showing someone something on my phone and I get a text the person can see who it's off and a brief description of the message, can stop that by tuning off pop up but then edge lighting doesn't work 🤦🏻

I switched to use Samsung messages over Google. Now it works. Gmail and Google messages just won't work with edge lighting on my S24 Plus.
