Greetings,
Does the Samsung S24 Ultra offer a feature where one can lock some apps? Similar to the iPhone's shortcut. I use a shortcut on some of my phone app, whenever someone attempts to open the app, it requires Face ID to utilize the app. I'm curious if Samsung possesses a similar option that could accomplish something similar. This is all about privacy and I do not wish for anyone to view or use my app without my consent. Kindly provide an answer.

As far as I know, none of the Samsung phone range offer a built-in app lock. You can only hide apps, which can be found under Home Screen Settings.

I've tried a few 3rd party app lock apps myself, Norton was the best one IMO.

Thank you for your suggestion. I do not rely on a third party, as they could initiate the charging process shortly. Samsung should consider providing an option for restricting app access at this time. As phones are prone to hacking and theft, it is prudent that individuals have some control over some apps such as Gallery, Snapchat, etc. What is your perspective? Should we propose suggesting Samsung to provide an option for controlling apps like Gallery, Snapchat?

Hi Newtos8p, no harm in giving feedback to Samsung for a built-in app lock, but I seriously doubt they'll implement this as it's not something most people want. I hear you about 3rd party apps, as Norton is a trusted name I thought I'd recommend that one.

I know you can lock the home screen but for various apps I'm not sure

Thank you.

I utilized the secure folder. Despite its effectiveness in securing the entire folder, it's effective only with a single app on an iPhone, which is remarkably convenient. I appreciate your recommendation.
