Wifi not switching

I keep having to manually switch between wifi connections when going from house to shop wifi, does not matter which way  I go, from the house to shop or shop to house it will stay connected to the last wifi and it says connected waiting for internet to improve instead of switching to the stronger wifi automatically, I will have to open up wifi and manualy select the stronger wifi. Is there anyway to fix this or is this a bug in the Samsung software?

I have exactly the same problem. I own a lot of wifi APs in my area and I use the same SSID, same security, different channels. Roaming on AP side is enabled. The phone keeps using very weak AP. It will only roam when wifi is absolutely not accessible. I see no options to make it more "flexible" and roam faster. I've been told that is 100% up to the phone to decide about AP. Wifi itself can't tell the phone to roam.

A bit of rescue is an option I have in Omada setup, which is called "Force-Disassociation" - effectively it disconnects client with weak signal whenever it notices that the very client is in range of another AP (with better signal).

But, no doubt it's something on Samsung side.

Exactly right KenTechExpert.  Exactly!  We have Samsung Android phones and also OnePlus Android phones in this house.  OnePlus handles this perfectly, seamlessly, quietly, no fuss.  Samsung is brain-dead when it comes to switching to the strongest wifi signal.  I have to *manually* turn it off and then back on.  Like wow, geniuses, the phone shows me on the list of wifi signals which one is strongest, but the phone can't select the strongest automatically?  It will hang on forever to that signal which is so weak that all network traffic *stops*, and refuses to connect to a signal 5 feet away.  So incredibly dumb.

After 2 years and countless software updates, I'm disappointed that Samsung has not fixed this problem or maybe their engineers are just sleeping on this. It has been bugging me since the 1st day I used my A34G replacing my good old Huawei Mate 20 Pro. I have 3 Wifi APs in my 3 storey house, 1 for each floor. Other devices like iPhone, Huawei or Xiaomi have no issues detecting the stronger WiFi signal when I travel to different areas, only my 1st Samsung phone in many years have this. Bottom line: Never buy Samsung phones again as it has many strange and buggy software issues.

We shouldn't have to use third parties apps for something basic as this. Previous phone models did not have this issue.

Hi. Any advice how to find the setting "switch while screen is on"? I can't click into it, i can just toggle. S24 Ultra, One UI 6.1. Thank you.
