Hi all,

I've been having issues where the connection would say no Internet every couple of minutes. I'm trying to connect to the WiFi 6e 6ghz band. When I connect to WiFi 6 I have no issues. It's not a big issue but none the less I would like to use WiFi 6E without issue. My router is the ASUS gtx 16000 router. My dad's Motorola Edge is working perfectly on WiFi 6E band.

Any advice would be much appreciated. My phone s23 ultra

Apologies if you have already tried this but give Google Search  a go as it might highlight some troubleshooting steps you've not tried.

Other than that look at generic troubleshooting steps like forgetting the network in your phone's settings and reset up the connection.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Hi D3RX,

No unfortunately I'm still having issues I've ran out of things to try. Everything else working even now my desktop PC which just upgraded to 6e.

I've contacted samsung and they don't have a clue. They want me to send my phone in to which I declined.

I am having exactly the same issue, same router etc.

Has anyone tried resetting network settings?

Same here....All other Wifi6 devices seem to be okay. Only the samsung 6E disconnects multiple times throughout the day. Also routinely is unable to connect and asks to re-enter password, which I have never encountered on the other 15+ wifi devices in the house.

Spoke to the manufacturer of the router, and they believe it may have to do with Samsung phones negotiating 6 vs 6E connection.

This is not a Asus router but a netgear product. Seems fairly safe to assume it's the phone

I have the Galaxy S23+ and I'm experiencing similar issues. Whenever I connect to a 6e wifi network, I do not have internet and I lose connection.  Happens with different routers in different locations.

No issues with same routers and my s22+.

I've been running into this same issue after upgrading to wifi 7 at home (wifi 6e backwards compatible) with my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. While I haven't been able to resolve the underlying cause, I have resolved the results by combining my 5GHz and 6GHz bands into the same SSID and then enabling band steering. I am no longer dropping wifi altogether; while I may see it shift (very occasionally) to the 5GHz band, it will jump back to (and stay on) the 6GHz band for extended periods. When it does shift to 5GHz, I'm up and walking around my home, as opposed to shifting when the phone is sitting on my desk 10' from the AP, so I'm assuming that it's shifting because I'm moving through an area of the home that has weaker 6GHz signal.

Just got a Router with WiFi 6E and encountering the same problem ONLY with my S23 when more than 15 feet from the 6E router. My S10+ and IPhone 6S+ are both fine, so it is clearly an S23 problem that Samsung needs to fix [my S23 worked just fine on my previous router that didn't have WiFi 6E] -- perhaps a Class Action initiative will motivate SAMSUNG to fix this problem? Excuses are not acceptable.
