S23 Ultra Wifi Issues

I've had my S23 Ultra for 2 years now - recently I've had endless issues. I work on a superyacht with Starlink and it's always worked great, up until the last month. My wifi lags - I get terrible results from a speed test - yet my other crew member who have a variety of different phones are all getting great wifi. Mine either drops out or says connected without internet and when I am connected my wifi lags and drops repeatedly.  I have restarted the phone, reset the network and bluetooth settings and even factory reset it - nothing changes. I've had every Galaxy since the S3 and this is by far the most disappointing model. My phone freezes at times and sometimes randomly restarts itself. I've had it with this phone. Is there anything anyone can suggest that I haven't already tried?

Hello 👋 @Members_39PoOmu

What a fantastic place to work 😀

I'm sorry to hear your experiencing these issues.

You could try >

  • 1. Https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/
  • 2. Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port or a usb-c to usb-c phone to phone set up to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
  • 3. Factory reset again but do not use the back up i.e set the phone back up manually.
  • 4. There is a diagnostic tool found in the Samsung Members App to see if that highlights anything.
  • 5. Forget the network to reset the pairing with Wi-Fi
  • 6. Ask a Samsung Service Centre to have hands On.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

I have had similar issues since the latest March /late February update. My phone is almost constantly on 4G since it can't use Wi-Fi and keeps waiting for network quality to improve . I have logged a ticket on the members app but so far no feedback my phone is literally on 4G most times and not using WiGi which is horrible to the point its getting thinking about swapping the phone.... Samsung needs to patch this ASAP

I had the same issue in March 2024 and pops up again in March 2025 :smiling-face: It must be a joke. A flagship model with WiFi connection issues.. Even issuing a factory reset didn't help.
