Since around November of last year I've had to switch to an esim, as my sim card tray has been having issues. Saying there's no sim even when there clearly was one. But, since switching to the esim, anytime there's a software update for my device, after the update completes I'm stuck without any cell service. This also includes mobile data. I have since had to go to my cellular provider to troubleshoot getting it to work again.
I would love to get a replacement s23 ultra from them but, they say I'd have to make a claim and pay whatever deductible ausrion says I need to pay($275). But I'm still using bill credits to pay off the device. And I doubt Samsung would replace it considering that my warranty through them expired at the beginning of last year!
I just wanted to see if anyone knows if there is a recall that is happening, or how many others are having the same issue. I will try reaching out to Samsung to see if they can help me without trying to pinch me for my money as this is clearly a hardware/software issue that I'm not capable of getting a permanent fix on my current device.

Hello 👋 @Stitch84
Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for UK and Ireland Members.
I haven't heard of any issue with eSim issues after updates 🤔 nor have I heard anything of a recall.
I'd expect the forums to be flooded with posts if this was an inherent issue.
May I suggest to perform a forum search as you may find already existing threads with help and advice within.
In the UK if a phone has been supplied by the Network then it's them as the merchant that has a duty of care under the manufacturer's warranty.
However I've still known Samsung wanting to help.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Hi, I am experiencing a similar issue. My issue just started about two weeks ago. My Galaxy S23 phone is dropping calls, showing emergency calls only and my Internet connection is unstable. I went to my carrier which is AT& T and they told me there is a recall on Galaxy S23 phones but when I reached out to Samsung I was told that is not true.
