Hi just purchased an S23FE but the front camera doesn't work for video calls!
It works fine if I go through the camera to take a selfie, but I just get a black screen (i cam see thebperson im calling, they cant see me) when trying to make video calls through WhatsApp or Facebook messenger.
I checked all the permissions om all 3 apps and they're fine. I uninstalled whatapp and reinstalled but it made no difference.
Can anyone help please?

1. **Check App Settings:** In WhatsApp and Messenger, ensure that the camera permissions are specifically granted for video calls, not just for general camera usage.
2. **Clear Cache and Data:** Sometimes clearing the app cache or data can resolve issues. You can do this through the app settings on your phone.
3. **Update Apps:** Make sure WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and your phone's software are all updated to the latest versions.
4. **Try a Different App:** Test video calling with a different app, like Zoom or Google Meet, to see if the issue persists across multiple applications.
5. **Factory Reset:** As a last resort, consider performing a factory reset on your phone. This will erase all data and apps, so make sure to back up your important information first.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a hardware problem with the front camera or a software issue that requires assistance from Samsung support or a service center.

I have the exactly same problem with WhatsApp, Zoom and Facebook messenger. Reinstalling the apps didn't help. Did the hard reset solve your problem? I don't want to go through all network settings again.
