ok i showed my son who is a programmer and he said the problem is that the mobile app is looking at the the cursor as if you were on a PC / Laptop so the app will not let you scroll passed the cursor.

Ive had problems for a long time, and the recent scroll one is praps the worst. I realise, reading the comments, that many I thought were just mine are actually common..
I wonder if Samsung knows how much this is destroying their brand, reputation and goodwill? Its totally unacceptable and yet they ignore it: I don't accept its not fixable, fast - its only a matter of resources and priorities...
They will certainly lose my business, and not just the email app. On which, btw, I just had a survey pop up 'are you enjoying the email app? They must be having a laff...grrrr

I would use the Gmail app. I tried unsuccessfully today to reinstall the Samsung email app AFTER I installed the available Samsung softer update and NO joy!.
Visited a Samsung store..their recommendation was to use the Gmail app because its more robust. So switched to Gmail and voila no scrolling issue. I can scroll🥳
Give it a try. Good luck.

Hope you saw the workaround. After reply, touch the subject line and that fixes the problem for that particular email.

It sort of works. Try replying to an email, adding some images, then some text. It jumps around all over the place, you can't really see what you've written or how the email is formatted. It's possible, but difficult in this scenario to get to the subject line, which then allows you to scroll, but if you find a spelling mistake or want to add something to some text, say between inline images, then good luck! This is definitely a bug within the rtf "body" input box. I have abandoned Samsung email for now and am using Edison, which works just fine.

I agree. My email bounces around too & it's difficult to get to the top of my reply. I then 'save' & reopen my draft to get to the subject line. I've stopped embedding any outside content & have been only attaching images.
