Hi, recently purchased an S22 Ultra 512gb Green off of backmarket.co.uk, overall the phone is in "excellent" condition exactly as described. 2 issues I have with it; it's an unlocked Vodafone erm, phone with CSC EUX EUX VOD, I've flashed it with latest firmware SM-908B EUR 23-10-10 S908BXXS6CWI1 Android 13 which went fine, but still has the Vodafone recommended software screen after it rebooted. I thought I was flashing a non-carrier firmware. Also, I've tried sideloading beta 3 Android 14 with One UI 6.0 firmware as an update.zip via ADB, the software checks were ok but the flash failed because the expected build date doesn't match the serial number. So does this mean it won't receive the official OTA update which is apparently releasing today? What is the solution, wait until full flash files are available on sammobile.com and samfrew.com? Or is there any way the build date/serial number issue can be resolved by sending it in for service?

Firstly it would seem that the refurbished phone is not UK variant but European variant?
Often these refurbished phones are sent to regions that they are not intended to be used.
This should be considered... as you may find that you may struggle to reflash, get OTA updates and use services such as Google pay if you have regional issues.
You might want to read this older thread of similar issues...
https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s22-series/issue-with-csc-eux-in-uk/td-p/4870793
In terms of your statement 'samsung invited members to enrol in the beta... but since the official enrolment ended the remaining option is for the rest of us to sideload it if we wish'.
I am not sure where you heard that information ... samsung would never suggest that you should sideload anything! Simple answer is you missed the official beta entry... and now need to wait the official release.
Joeeye is right... you are likely invalidating any warranties by sideloading software. If you end up with a non-functioning phone then backmarket.com will have nothing to do with warranty replacement... so I would be cautious what you do with a phone under warranty.
if your phone is not an unlocked UK version and you have a phone out of the region it was intended... that might cause other issues in receiving OTA updates.
Good luck... hopefully it will be received soon.

@Joeeye @smiley don't worry your heads lads, I just had to flash a cwh6 image first before I could sideload the betas, that's all. And now that beta 4 went to stable it won't be long before the full OTAs roll out to everybody and full flash files become available in the usual places. Nothing is broken, no knox trips and no warranties were voided.
p.s. enjoy your android 14 oneui 6.0 when it comes 😉

Hope you enjoy oneUI 6 and Android 14. A few improvements but overall they are just small incremental changes.
For the record I have an S23U so I have had the official release for the past month or so.
P.s. it is your phone so do as you wish with regards to side loading software. This is a 'grey area' and can lead to bricked phones and warranty voiding. A choice only you can make with your hardware.
P.P.S. Most of us that have been on the forum here for a while are just trying to help users with issues... there is no need to bring any animosity or sarcasm.
Enjoy your phone 👌😉
Cheers
Smiley.
