I purchased my Samsung Galaxy S22 in 2023, trusting Samsung’s reputation for high-quality, reliable devices. However, after a recent software update, vertical lines started appearing on my display. Initially, there was just one line, but now there are three. The service center confirmed it’s a display issue, and since my device is out of warranty, I’ve been quoted approximately INR 11,000 for a replacement.
What’s especially disappointing is that Samsung offers free display replacements for the S22 Ultra, but not for the S22, despite the fact that my issue arose after a software update. This feels unfair, particularly for a premium model like the Galaxy S22. I find this situation frustrating and unexpected. Some of my friends are also facing the same issue with their Samsung Galaxy S22 devices.
Given that the issue is software-related and directly impacts the display, I believe Samsung should take responsibility. It’s also disheartening to compare this experience with competitors like Apple and OnePlus, who offer post-warranty display replacements for similar issues.
I urge Samsung to reconsider this matter and offer a fair solution. This situation does not reflect the level of service I expect from a brand of Samsung’s reputation.

It's worths try.
Also go into your phone app and dial *#0*#
At the top are three different colour test cards. If the lines dissappear on these, then it's likely to be an app or theme causing the issue.
If not then you are looking at getting Customer Support involved.
