The last 3 days my phone has been stuck rebooting by itself. Occasionally it will stay on for a short while but if I then use any apps it starts over. I've managed to back up my files, so one less thing to worry about. I bought the phone outright from Samsung so I can't go back to Vodafone with it. Does anyone know what to do to stop it or suggestions of what I should do next please? Thanks in advance.

Does it crash in safe mode?

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/

Also try diagnostics via Samsung members app

If still under warranty check with Samsung tech support

I have managed to to the diagnostics but it showed no errors. I will try to do the safe mode when I get home later. I didn't know how to do it, so thanks for the link.

You're not alone. There are quite a few S22U users with the same issue, that started within the last week or so.

Hopefully Samsung is going to address this problem with the next update.

I've tried safe mode. I think it stayed on but as you can't really do anything when it's in safe mode I didn't use it. When I put it back normal I used it for about 10 minutes and went on a few apps. The WiFi then disconnected. I tried connecting but, as it has done before, it wasn't detecting any. So, turn off WiFi and back on, connects. Then the phone shuts down and starts cycling again.

@LizWhoKnows: If the issue was not present in Safe Mode then this suggests that the problem is stemming from an external source. With this in mind, please uninstall any applications that you have added to the phone since you first encountered the issue, and let me know if you notice an improvement. While it isn't possible to pinpoint which apps are at fault, a good place to start would be the apps that you accessed after restarting your device.

I have uninstalled all apps that I've installed in the past 2 months (it wasn't a lot). The issue started with WiFi not connecting. After the safe mode and the issue again, the WiFi disconnected and then started the reboot loop when I tried to reconnect it. I haven't installed any apps since the issue began on Saturday.

@LizWhoKnows: Please can you try heading to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset Wi-Fi and Bluetooth settings > Reset settings, to see if this helps. Please note that this will remove any Wi-Fi routers and Bluetooth devices that have been registered to the phone, therefore you will need to reconnect them following this step. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Right. I did this. Whilst putting my WiFi password back in after the reset it rebooted, twice. After that it stayed on to put the WiFi in. I've used it a bit, so far so good. Not counting my chickens yet though. I'll let you know either way what's happening after a short while. Thank you for all your help thus far. :smiling-face: 😀
