I have had this S22 ultra for almost 2.5 years now. Other than some overheating and battery deain, never had any issues until yesterday.

It just randomly frozen and the system ui stopped responding. After about 5 minutes the one ui home stopped responding and phone restarted by itself.

Since then it just randomly crashes and fixes itself half of the time and restarts the other half. The booting after the restart also takes like half an hour . Tried safe mode and factory reset but the problem persists. Even freezed while scrolling menu or taking up a call.

Seems like a hardware failure which I did not expect from a samsung flagship. Anybody has any solution or I have to replace it as it's way out of warranty, gonna buy an iPhone cuz atleast they are reliable for many years.

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!

* Turn off your device: Ensure your phone is completely powered off.
* Connect to a computer: Plug your phone into a computer using a USB cable.
* Enter Recovery Mode: Press and hold the Volume Up key.
* Simultaneously press and hold the Power key.
* Release both keys when the Android logo appears.
* Navigate to Recovery Menu: Wait for the Android system recovery menu options to appear.
* Use the Volume Down key to navigate through the menu options.
* Select "Wipe Cache Partition": Highlight "Wipe cache partition" using the Volume Down key.
* Confirm the selection by pressing the Power key.
* Confirm "Yes": Use the Volume Down key to highlight "yes".
* Confirm the action by pressing the Power key.
* Wait for Completion: Allow the process to complete; then your phone will reboot.

Go to settings - storage and see if you are running low; sometimes this can cause issues.

Go to device care - optimize.

Go to the Samsung/Google store and make sure everything is updated.

If all else fails, it may be worth contacting Samsung support.

I am facing the same issue...after updating the(March 2025 update) phone crashing randomly, tried restarting it and every solution available on the internet but the issue is not resolved.

previously last year after updating the phone (same s22 ultra) display issue came around the front cam, service center didn't replace my display for free. I had  20,000 INR to replace the display.

Very disappointed for Samsung after buying a flagship phone we have to face these issues.

Shifting from Samsung and I will never recommend it to anyone!
