In the last 2 days, my phone randomly freezes and then turns off and on. Sometimes 3 times on the trot othertimes just once. Sometims the screen is pixelated other times not. The software is up to date.
Anyone got any ideas?

Hi. Have you recently installed any new applications ?

1. Check your battery graph for any apps using a lot of battery.

2. Background data being used by apps.

3. You could Wipe Cache of your phone ( check youtube how to do it)

Hello @Pumpk1n and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

Please do ensure your phone js up to date with the most recent software update available and that your apps in the Playstore and Galaxy Store are fully updated.

To perform the process of clearing the phone's System Partition Cache Files Section as mentioned by @GoanGeek 👍 please follow these instructions

  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

You could also try Safe Mode.

As a last resort back up and factory reset, but then set the phone back up manually i.e don't use the back up and the See what happens.

Do this especially if you used Samsung SmartSwitch to move across your data from a previous phone to your new phone.

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.

A Samsung Service Centre can assess your phone.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

I believe this may be the gpu failing or the ram, as that pixilation occurs in pcs or laptops when the ram looses connection with the motherboard, same thing on phones, this could only happen due to a faulty chip, damage to the chip, or overheating melting the chip off

This doesn't work even after reseting to factory settings the issue continues

After factory resetting did you recover apps? Or started as fresh?

No, it requires the phones to be completely disassembled, and most likely you'll be better off with the motherboard being replaced
